Exciting Update: Enhanced Ad Manager Capabilities for Live Campaigns

We're thrilled to announce a significant enhancement to our Ad Manager, offering you increased flexibility and control over your ongoing or in-review ad campaigns. This development empowers you to make dynamic adjustments in response to real-time performance insights, shifting market conditions, and evolving business needs. Your campaigns will now remain more effective and relevant throughout their duration.

What’s New?

  1. Expanded Editing Capabilities: You can now modify various aspects of a live or 'In Review' ad campaign, beyond just the budget. This enables you to fine-tune the following campaign details for optimized results:

    • Campaign Name: Update the name to better reflect your campaign's focus.
    • CTA Button: Easily change or update your call-to-action.
    • Lead Generation Form: For lead generation objectives, switch forms or create new ones as needed.
    • Website URL: Adjust the URL if your objective involves driving website traffic.
    • Special Ad Category: Add or change categories for special ads.
    • Placements: Define or update where your ads will be displayed.
    • Ad Text and Media: Revise ad content and visuals for better engagement.
    • Budget: Continue to alter the campaign budget as necessary.
    • Geographic Location: Change the targeted locations to expand or refine your reach.
    • Target Audience: Modify interest parameters, or switch between lookalike or retargeting audiences.
  2. Uneditable Elements: For stability, certain campaign foundations remain fixed:

    • Campaign Objective
    • Selected Facebook Page for publishing
    • Start Date
  3. Change Notifications: A helpful "Unpublished changes" tag will appear on the campaign builder screen when modifications are made but not yet published.

How It Works

  1. Initiating Edits: Select the 'Edit' option on the Ad Manager home screen for the campaign you'd like to update.

  2. Making Changes: Alter the desired fields in the campaign builder. An "Unpublished changes" tag will indicate pending updates.

  3. Finalizing Edits:

  • Discard Changes: Click the 'Back' button and confirm to discard all modifications.
  • Publish Changes: Confirm and publish changes through a dialog prompt.

  1. Review Process: Post-publication, the campaign will undergo Facebook's review process before going live.

  2. Error Handling: If an error arises from the edits, the campaign will be marked 'Failed', with explanations provided for resolution.

Important Note

While the budget can be altered, changing the budget type from Daily to Lifetime for an active campaign is not permitted.
