Security Enhancements: Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) and Password Management
We are thrilled to introduce two new updates designed to bolster security and streamline account management for our users. These enhancements focus on providing you with added security and flexibility when accessing and managing your accounts on the mobile app.
Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) for Enhanced Security
What’s New?
The introduction of Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of security when logging into your account on the mobile app. With 2FA, you can:
- Protect your account using a secure, one-time verification code during login.
- Have peace of mind knowing your data remains safeguarded, even if your password is compromised.
How It Works
- Login with Your Credentials: On the login screen, enter your email ID and password, and tap “Sign In”.
- Choose Your OTP Delivery Method: You will be prompted to select a preferred channel (registered email or phone number) to receive the One-Time Password (OTP).
- Receive and Enter OTP: After selecting your preferred channel, tap “Continue”. Enter the OTP you receive and tap “Verify and Sign In”.
- Access Your Account: Once authentication is successful, you’ll gain access to your account.
Change Password from the Mobile App
What’s New?
Managing your account password is now easier and more secure with the newly added “Change Password” feature in the mobile app. Highlights include:
- A convenient “Change Password” option now available under General Settings.
- Seamless password updates without needing to access the web app.
- Automatic logout from all active sessions across devices when your password is changed for enhanced security.
How It Works
- Open the app and navigate to Settings.
- Tap on “Change Password” under General Settings.
- Enter your current password followed by your new password.
- Tap “Update” to save the changes.
- Once updated, your password will be changed, and all existing sessions will be logged out for added security.
