Communities Enhancements for Email Preferences

We are excited to announce several updates to the communities platform that enhance stability and user experience. These new enhancements expand your email preference options and introduce improved functionalities to keep your community management seamless and efficient.

New Email Preferences

The community platform now supports 14 new email preferences. This update gives users more control and customization over the types of email communications they wish to receive. Here’s what’s new:

  • Group Membership Status Email: Stay informed with automatic updates on your group membership status.
  • New Member Request: Facilitates easy management by notifying you of new member requests.
  • Declined/Removed by Admin: Receive immediate updates if you are removed by an admin.
  • Added to Private Channel: Get notified when you are added to a private channel.
  • General Group Emails: Keep up with routine information and bulletins.
  • New Comment Reply: Alerts you instantly whenever there's a response to your comment.
  • Content Reported: Alerts you when content has been flagged for review or issues have been reported.
  • Role Changes: Keep track of any role adjustments within the community.
  • Group Ownership Changed: Notifies you when there’s a change in group ownership.
  • Subscription/Payment Status Email: Updates everyone on their subscription and payment statuses.
  • Post and Comment Tagging Emails: Now including previews of the associated post or comment for context.
  • Default Template Enhancements: The email preview now clarifies which custom value is applied.

In addition to new email preferences, PayPal is now independently supported as a payment method on our communities platform. This addition aims to give users more flexibility and convenience when managing online payments.
