Streamline Client Transactions with Mobile Payments: Direct Payments in Estimates

We are excited to announce a significant enhancement to Mobile Payments—introducing the ability for direct payments within estimates. This new feature offers users the convenience of enabling direct payment options inside an estimate before sending it to their customers.

With this update, once a customer accepts an estimate, they will be seamlessly redirected to an invoice page to complete their payment online. This enhancement is designed to simplify the payment process, ensuring a smoother and more efficient transaction experience for both businesses and their clients.

How to Use the Direct Payment Feature

To take advantage of the direct payment capability, follow these steps:

  1. Access the App: Open the mobile app for your account.
  2. Navigate to Estimates: Use the left-hand navigation drawer to go to the Estimates section.
  3. Create or Edit an Estimate: Initiate a new estimate or modify an existing draft. Fill in all the necessary details such as the estimate name, number, issue date, expiry date, contact information, and item list.
  4. Enable Payment Settings: On the review page, scroll to the bottom and toggle the “Enable Direct Payments” option.
  5. Send the Estimate: Share the estimate with your customer via email, SMS, or both.

When your customer views and accepts the estimate, they will automatically be redirected to the invoice page to make their payment online.

Troubleshooting and Payment Management

In the event of a payment failure, you can easily manage the situation by:

  • Navigating to the Invoices section.
  • Locating the specific invoice.
  • Resending the invoice or recording the payment elsewhere.

Options for recording payments include tap-to-pay, cash, card, or manual entry by left-swiping/long-pressing on the invoice card and selecting “Record Payment.”

This update is available across several platforms, including SMBcrm apps, and can be requested for activation.
