Introducing the Idle Reminder Timer, a configurable tool available within each agent’s Advanced Settings. Now, you can determine how long the agent waits during moments of silence before offering a natural re-engagement message. This allows for more proactive and efficient customer service.

What is an Idle Reminder Timer?

The Idle Reminder Timer is a delay mechanism that accompanies your Voice AI Agents. It ensures that during silent intervals, your agents sound natural and stay active in managing the conversation flow. Here are some key benefits:

  • Proactive Engagement: Prevents long periods of silence and keeps your audience engaged.
  • Improved Completion: Helps steer conversations back on track, thereby potentially increasing success rates.
  • Enhanced User Experience: Allows agents to use prompts that feel natural, improving overall customer satisfaction.

What’s New?

  1. Configurable Delay: Located in the Agent Page under Advanced Settings, you can set the timer anywhere from 1 to 20 seconds (default: 8 seconds).
  2. Auto-Hangup: Should the customer remain silent for more than 15 seconds post-reminder, the call will be automatically terminated to save time.

Points to Note

  • The Idle Reminder Timer is available for all existing and new accounts by default—there's no need to toggle it.
  • Engage through the Advanced Settings tab within each account to access the timer.
  • Set your delay between 1 and 20 seconds, keeping in mind the default setting of 8 seconds.
  • For silence over 15 seconds after the reminder, calls terminate automatically.
