Enhance SMS Compliance with New Sender ID and Opt-Out Features

Enhanced SMS Compliance with Sender ID and Opt-Out Updates

We’re pleased to share the latest updates to our SMS compliance features, designed to align with regulatory standards like A2P 10DLC. These improvements are aimed at enhancing user trust and ensuring messaging reliability. The updates are now live and will impact all users across the platform.

What’s New in SMS Compliance

Our recent updates provide significant enhancements to ensure your SMS communications meet regulatory standards:

  • Mandatory Sender ID and Opt-Out Language: The initial message in every SMS conversation, including Missed Call Text-Back (MCTB) and review requests, now automatically includes sender identification, such as your business name, and opt-out language like “Reply STOP to unsubscribe,” if not already present.

  • Trial and New Location Restrictions: For those in trial mode or locations created within the last 15 days, the option to disable the sender ID and opt-out checkboxes is restricted to ensure compliance during setup phases.

  • User Restrictions: Account Users and Admins are not able to disable these checkboxes, maintaining consistent compliance practices within your account.

  • Smart Opt-Out Logic: Opt-out language is intelligently added only when absent from the existing message, preventing duplication and maintaining a professional communication flow.

  • UI Enhancements: We’ve made improvements to the SMS Compliance tab for a more streamlined and intuitive user experience.
