Enhance Your Store's Visual Merchandising with Manual Product Sorting
We're pleased to announce an exciting new feature: Manual Product Sorting is now available for ecommerce stores, offering enhanced control over product display on your Product List Page. This update empowers store owners to improve their visual merchandising by showcasing high-priority products more prominently.
Key Highlights:

Display Priority Column
- We've introduced a “Display Priority” column on the Product List page, allowing store owners to assign whole number values to indicate display priority.
- Lower numbers indicate a higher priority, placing the product earlier in the list.

Alphabetical Tie-Breaker
- When products share the same priority value, they are sorted alphabetically (A-Z) to ensure a clear order.

Featured Sorting Option
- A new “Featured” sorting option reflects the display order based on assigned priorities.
- For new store creations, “Featured” becomes the default sorting method, which can be modified as needed.

Validation & Input Handling
- Only whole numbers are accepted for display priorities. Invalid entries will be flagged for correction.

User Interface & Experience
- Any change in priority values can be saved manually through a “Save” button, ensuring instant updates on the Product List Page.
How to Use It:
- Navigate to Sites > Stores > Select Store > Products to access the new Display Priority column.
- Assign whole number priority values to each product.
- To update sorting:
- Open the Product List page in the builder.
- Choose the Product List element.
- Select Featured from the sort dropdown in Advanced Settings and click Save.
Important Notes & Edge Cases:
- Products with lower Display Priority numbers appear first. In case of identical priority values, products sort alphabetically.
- The new "Featured" sorting option reflects this logic and is default for new stores. Existing stores retain their current sort settings.
- Only whole number inputs are accepted; incorrect entries trigger an error message.
- Regardless of priority, out-of-stock products always appear last.
