Enhanced Ad Manager Unlocks Multi-Dataset Support for Meta Conversions

Enhanced Dataset Support for Meta Conversions

We are excited to announce the latest update to the Ad Manager, which now supports the creation of multiple datasets under the Meta Conversions tab. This update replaces the previous limitation of a single conversion pixel, unlocking new possibilities for tracking across your funnels, products, or business units.

How It Works

To make the most of this powerful new feature, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to Ad Manager > Settings > Meta > Conversions tab:
    Meta Conversions Navigation

  2. Click on “+ Create new dataset”

  3. In the modal:

    • Enter a Dataset Name
    • Choose a Goal Type such as:
      1. Lead Event
      2. Funnel Event
        Goal Type Selection
  4. Click Create

Once your dataset is successfully created, a Dataset ID and Pixel Code are generated automatically. All necessary backend configurations, such as UTM parameters and attribution logic, are handled seamlessly. You can then embed the pixel code into your desired website or funnel page for effective conversion tracking. Importantly, you can manage datasets independently, maintaining their respective tracking logic internally.

Why It Matters

  • Eliminates the One-Pixel Limitation: This enhancement removes previous restrictions on Meta tracking within the Ad Manager, allowing for more versatile and expansive tracking capabilities.

  • Facilitates Scalability: You can now allocate dedicated datasets for various campaign types or business segments, enhancing your ability to scale effectively.

  • Simplifies Setup: With automatic generation of Dataset ID and pixel code, setting up conversion tracking has never been easier.

  • Enables Granular Reporting: Gain detailed insights with granular reporting across multiple lead and funnel paths.

Additional Notes

  • Both Lead Event and Funnel Event types are supported in this update.
  • Datasets are organized in a structured table, displaying Dataset ID, Goal Type, and Pixel Code.
  • Users have the ability to copy pixel codes directly from the interface and add them to their website pages or funnels for applicable tracking.
