We are excited to announce an enhancement to how your emails sync with our CRM, specifically for those who connect their personal Outlook email through 2-way sync.

Why This Change?

Previously, when users connected their personal Outlook email to our 2-way sync feature, all emails with contacts would automatically sync to the CRM. We noticed that in many accounts, users were often inadvertently added as contacts, causing all emails sent or received by these users to be synced. This led to situations where admins and other users with contact access could view personal emails within the CRM.

What's New?

  • Selective Email Sync: Emails sent or received by system users, who are also CRM contacts, will not sync. This enhancement ensures that your personal communications remain private.
  • Contact-Specific Syncing: Emails will now sync only if they involve at least one contact who is not a system user. For example, if an email is sent to three recipients, where two are system users and one is not, the email will sync.
  • Enhanced Privacy: This update guarantees that emails involving only system users remain private and won't appear in the CRM, even if the users are also CRM contacts.
