Funnel Preview Gets Performance and Security Boost

Funnel Preview Performance Upgrade

Overview

We're thrilled to announce the latest upgrade to our funnel-preview service, bringing enhanced performance, security improvements, and optimizations to elevate your experience. With this update, users can expect reduced load times, smaller bundle sizes, and an overall better user interface.

Key Improvements

Optimized Bundle Sizes

  • Server Bundle Size Reduction: We have decreased the server bundle size from 526MB to 337MB, achieving a 36% reduction. This efficiency boost means snappier performance for your funnels.
  • Client Entry File Size Reduction: The client entry file has been slimmed down from 117KB to 96KB, a 17.9% reduction. This leads to improved First Contentful Paint (FCP) and Largest Contentful Paint (LCP) metrics, making content visible to users faster.

Security & Code Enhancements

  • Component Name Obfuscation: To bolster security and protect code, component names are now hashed and hidden, ensuring better encapsulation and safety.

Lazy Loading for Translations

  • Previously, all language files were loaded on the client side, which increased load times. Now, only the necessary language file is dynamically loaded, enhancing the FCP and overall performance.
  • This optimization also contributes to the reduced entry file size by excluding defunct language messages.

Performance Benchmark

  • The optimized Gym Funnel now achieves an impressive mobile page speed score of 90, reflecting these enhancements.

Upcoming Improvements

Our commitment to continuous improvement remains strong, with several exciting updates on the horizon:

  • Server-side Translations: We aim to eliminate the need for client-side locale file loading.
  • Enhanced Delay Hydration: Exploring Nuxt's native delay hydration to further boost performance.
  • Optimized Third-party Scripts: Focusing on lazy loading for scripts used in forms, surveys, and calendars.
  • Reduced Render-blocking CSS: Ongoing work to improve load times by minimizing render-blocking code.
  • Mobile Page Speed Goals: Targeting a mobile page speed score of 90+ despite JS-heavy elements like forms, surveys, and order pages.
