New Product Update – Granular User Permissions for Account Users
We are proud to announce the launch of a granular user permission structure, which is a significant advancement from our existing permissions module.
This feature is now available in Labs. We urge you to enable the feature in Labs, try it out, and give us your feedback.
What’s New?
- Granular Permissions: Agency and account admins can apply granular permissions to their users.
- New User Interface: This structure also introduces a new user interface and an end-to-end experience for adding users and setting their permissions.
- Backward Compatibility: The new permissions structure is backward compatible with the current set of permission structures and their functionalities.
- Copy Permissions: Agency and account admins can copy a user’s granular permissions to another user. For example, when Bob joins the sales team, the admin can clone Alex’s permissions to Bob.
- Restrict Agency Admin Access: Agency admins can now assign agency admins to specific accounts and restrict them from accessing other accounts. For example, Alex, who is an agency admin, can now access only assigned accounts A, B, and C without compromising his access level.
Why is this Necessary?
As agencies and locations continue to grow, so do their complexities:
- Agencies and locations have significant customer data and proprietary assets to protect.
- Different team members, such as sales and marketing, have different skill sets, and admins want to ensure these users have access only to CRM modules relevant to their work.
- Businesses don’t want sales members to access each other’s leads.
- Agencies may have different account managers for different locations, necessitating restricted access to assigned locations only.
Each of these use cases requires a granular level of permission definition to achieve its security and management objectives. This feature enables our customers to achieve that.
