Conversations: Introducing Group Chat for SMS

We’re thrilled to announce a fitting new addition to our CRM—Group Chat for SMS. This feature expands your messaging capabilities by allowing you to engage multiple contacts in a single group SMS conversation, enhancing collaboration and ensuring everyone stays informed and connected. Whether coordinating real estate deals, sharing updates, or making group decisions, Group Chat will streamline your efforts and boost your efficiency.

What’s New?

Now you can initiate group SMS conversations directly from the CRM using supported phone numbers. This feature works seamlessly, just like group SMS on your mobile devices. You can add up to 10 participants per group, including the organizer.

How to Use

Creating a Group Chat:

  1. Navigate to the Conversations section: Click on ‘Create a new message’ and select ‘Group Message.’

  2. Select your phone number: Choose the phone number for the group chat.
  3. Add participants: You can add both primary and secondary contact numbers.

Select Participants

  1. Create and send your message: Click on ‘Create Group’ and send your message. Subsequent replies will be sent to all added contacts, ensuring everyone remains updated.

  2. View contacts: Check all group members from both the top bar and the right panel by clicking on the chevron icon.

  3. Contact updates: Messages are sent to initial numbers, even if contacts are deleted or their numbers change.

  1. Message status: View sent, delivered, or failed statuses for each message for transparency.

Access

  • Users with assigned data access can manage group chats that include only their assigned contacts.
  • Messaging is permitted only if users have access to the phone number used in the group chat.
  • Admins have universal access, while users have access to personal and unassigned numbers.
