Introducing Association Limits for Enhanced Custom Object Management

Enhance Your Custom Object Management with Association Limits

We’re excited to announce a powerful new feature now available for our Custom Objects: Association Limits. This enhancement provides you with greater control over how many relationships can exist between objects in your Custom Objects setup. By managing these associations effectively, you can maintain data clarity and prevent over-association.

What’s New: Association Limits

With our latest update, you can now set specific limits on object associations:

  • Multi-label associations:
    • One-to-One (1:1)
    • One-to-N (where N ≤ 1000)
    • One-to-Many
    • Many-to-Many
  • Contact-to-contact (single label):
    • One-to-One
    • Many-to-Many
    • Custom N-to-N

Understanding these options ensures your data architecture remains comprehensible and manageable.

User Interface Improvements

To further enhance your experience, our UI now provides:

  • A preview of the association direction and counts when configuring.
  • Real-time error messages when limits are reached.
  • Immediate enforcement of limits per label right after saving.

How to Set Up Association Limits

Getting started with Association Limits is simple:

  1. Open the Edit Association modal on a Custom Object.
  2. Choose “Single Label” or “Pair of Labels”.
