- Customizable Banner: Tailor the appearance and user consent options to meet your needs.
- Predefined Cookie Categories: Simplifies the management of various cookie types.
- Advanced Consent Settings: Control consent expiration and layout customization for user preferences.
How to Get Started
Enable the Banner
- Open your funnel or website in the Funnels & Websites Builder.
- Navigate to the page where you intend to enable the banner.
- Click on the Cookie Consent Banner Settings icon.
- Toggle to enable or disable the banner as needed.
- Accept Essential: Permits only necessary cookies for functionality.
- Accept All: Approves all cookies, including tracking and analytics.
- Reject: Accepts only essential cookies.
- Cancel: Closes the popup and reopens the main banner.
- Save Preferences: Records the user’s cookie preference choices.
Customization Options
General Settings
- Enable or disable the cookie list.
- Choose compliance type:
- Ask to Opt-In: Displays “Accept Essential” and “Accept All” buttons.
- Don’t Ask: Displays an “OK” button without a reject option.
- Add a message description and a link to your privacy policy.
- Customize the banner’s appearance, including colors, fonts, and text size.
Advanced Settings
- Consent Expiration: Determine the number of days until consent expires.
- Layout Options: Select from different styles for banner display.
Managing the Cookie List
The Cookie List feature allows users to enable or disable specific types of cookies. Visitors can choose which cookies to permit.
Predefined Cookie Categories
- Essential: Required for website functionality (always enabled).
- Functional: Supports features like social media sharing.
- Analytics: Monitors visitor behavior statistics.
- Performance: Aids in optimizing site speed and user experience.
- Advertising: Targets ads tailored to users.
- Uncategorized: For cookies not assigned to the above categories.
Adding Cookies to Categories
For each cookie, specify the following:
- Cookie Key: Identify the cookie (regex patterns supported for multiple cookies).
- Duration: Define how long the cookie persists (e.g., 1 day, 30 days).
- Domain: The domain responsible for setting the cookie.
- Description: Explain the cookie’s purpose.
Using Regex Patterns
Utilize regex patterns to manage multiple cookies effectively, such as:
ga-*
: Matches all cookies starting with “ga-” (e.g., ga-1234, ga-3241).
_fbp
: Matches Meta Pixel cookies.
_ga.*
: Captures all Google Analytics cookies.
Scanning Your Website for Cookies
To ensure thorough analysis, follow these steps:
- Temporarily disable the Cookie Consent Banner.
- Utilize a tool like CookieServe for scanning your website.
- Assign detected cookies to the correct categories.
- Important: Disable the banner before scanning to allow all cookies to be detected.
