Introducing Enhanced Flexibility in Field Selection

In our quest to continually improve user experience, we've rolled out a significant update designed to enhance flexibility: the Custom Value Picker for dropdown, numeric, and date fields.

Previous Behavior

Before this update, users were limited in their ability to utilize custom values for certain field types. This restriction often resulted in a more rigid data input process, affecting overall workflow efficiency.

What's New?

With this new feature, users now have the ability to toggle between standard values and a Custom Value Picker for specific field types. Here’s how it works:

Options

  • Standard Values: Users can input data based on the predefined field type (e.g., date, dropdown, numeric).
  • Custom Value Picker: Allows users to select from customized values tailored to their specific needs.

Phase 1 Rollout

To ensure seamless integration, we're initiating this rollout in phases. The first phase includes application to the following actions:

  • Add Contact Tag: Streamline the tagging process with custom values.
  • Remove Contact Tag: Easily remove tags by selecting custom values.

How to Use?

  1. Access the Feature: Click on the three dots added on the right side of the field.
  2. Change Field Type: Select "Custom" from the menu.
  3. Select Custom Value: Choose the value from the Custom Value Picker.
  4. Define Custom Values: You can add custom values in formats such as tag-1, ['tag-1', 'tag-2'], or tag-1, tag-2.

  • Assign Users Action: Facilitate custom value selection when assigning users.
  • If Else Action: Enable custom value conditions for more complex workflows.
