Documents and Contracts: One-Time Products in Recurring Product Lists
What's New?
We are excited to introduce an update that differentiates one-time products from recurring products in your recurring product lists on documents. Here’s what you need to know:
- Previously: When a one-time product was added to a recurring product list within documents, it was treated like a recurring product.
- Now: A one-time product will be included only in the first invoice and not in subsequent recurring invoices.
How to Use
Here's a quick guide to help you utilize this new feature efficiently:
- Navigate to Documents: Start by going to the Documents section of your account.
- Add a Product List: Create or edit your product list within the document.
- Mark as Recurring: From the properties, mark the product list as recurring if you want to send recurring invoices after the document is signed.
- Product Configuration: Only the recurring products will be included in the subsequent invoices after the initial invoice, enabling you to maintain the original configuration of the products.
Why We Built It
This enhancement enables you to combine both recurring and one-time products within a single product list, while preserving their respective behaviors. This means that your one-time product will be charged only once, while the recurring products will continue to be billed in subsequent invoices. This ensures accurate billing and proper utilization of each product type.
Stay tuned for more updates and enhancements to further improve your experience.
