Introducing LC Phone Fraud Protect Updates

We’re thrilled to announce a few significant changes to our LC Phone Fraud Protect. These updates aim to provide advanced protection levels and better control over your account activities. Let’s dive into the specifics.

Card Limits on Agency and Account Level

To safeguard system integrity, we are introducing restrictions on the addition of cards.
Going forward, an agency or account can incorporate a maximum of three cards in their lifetime with a maximum daily attempt of five times, including both successful and unsuccessful attempts. Should there be a need to add a new card, the agency would need to get in touch with our support team.

Ramp-Up Model v2 at Account Level

Beginning on February 1st, we’re optimizing our messaging ramp-up model for accounts. The new 8-level ramp will replace the 7-day one. Catch a glimpse of the newly incorporated ramp levels below:

  • Level 1 – 100
  • Level 2 – 250
  • Level 3 – 500
  • Level 4 – 750
  • Level 5 – 1500
  • Level 6 – 2250
  • Level 7 – 3000
  • Level 8 – 3000+

Please note the revamped ramp-up model will be applicable only to accounts created on or after February 1st. The existing ones will continue on the old model. Additionally, the ramp will commence on the day the first successful SMS message is dispatched and not on the signup date.

International Messaging Restrictions

In order to curtail the risk of fraudulent activities, we will only permit sending messages when the country code of sender and receiver’s numbers are the same. However, this restriction will not apply to US numbers as they have A2P and TF registration processes in place. Also, Canada numbers without registration can only send to the US and Canada. International messaging from these numbers would require A2P Registration first.

Enhanced Content Filtering

Lastly, to prevent your campaigns being affected by disallowed content messages, we have implemented a model to identify these proactively. This ensures such messages do not reach their destination, avoiding any impacts on your campaigns.

With these updates, we aim to ensure a safer and more efficient communication platform for our users.
