We are excited to introduce a new feature that enhances your messaging efficiency by proactively blocking known message-sending failures. This pre-send validation layer effectively prevents messages destined to fail due to factors such as invalid numbers, landlines, or opted-out contacts. By halting these messages before they're sent, you'll save time, reduce costs, and avoid unnecessary confusion.
Messages that would typically result in well-known error codes are now automatically blocked. These include:
Contacts that frequently trigger delivery issuesโsuch as responding with STOP or being a landlineโare now flagged with Do Not Disturb (DND) markers. This helps prevent future attempts on clearly undeliverable numbers while still allowing retries in temporary situations, such as a phone being switched off.
If a message is blocked before it gets sent, you will receive a clear explanation of why it was blocked. This ensures you're not left with uncertainty or guesswork.
Here are some examples of messages that the system now blocks:
Additionally, intelligent DND behavior assigns permanent or temporary exclusions based on the failure reason.
This enhancement is part of our continuous effort to provide smarter, more efficient messaging. By eliminating preventable failures and offering upfront feedback, we aim to enhance the reliability of your messaging capabilities without any extra effort from your side.
