  • Enhanced Convenience: Businesses can now provide customers with a direct link to update the payment method for their ongoing Stripe subscriptions.
  • Empower Customers: Customers can easily update their card information to be used for future subscription charges.
  • Increased Reach: With Stripe joining Authorize.net and NMI, the function to update payment methods for subscriptions becomes accessible to a broader range of users.

Insights into the New Functionality

  1. Businesses can click the quick action menu on the subscription list page or navigate to the Actions section on the subscription detail page to access this function.
  2. The generated link to update subscription payment details can be emailed directly to customers or copied for separate distribution.
  3. For security, these links are one-time-use only and valid for 30 days. Once expired, new links must be used.
  4. By clicking the link, customers can easily view and update their subscription details.
  5. The new payment method will come into effect starting from the next billing cycle upon updating the details.
  6. Businesses have the flexibility to generate multiple links and deactivate all outstanding links right from the subscriptions page for any given subscription.
