Introducing the Pause Workflow Feature for Seamless Management

Enhance Your Workflow Management with the New Pause Feature

We are thrilled to introduce a highly anticipated feature for workflow enthusiasts – the ability to pause workflows on specific dates! This update grants you greater flexibility in managing your ongoing workflows, allowing for more personalized and effective automation pauses during key periods.

Key Features of the Pause Workflow Update

  • Customizable Date Ranges: Pause specific workflows or all workflows within chosen date ranges.
  • Annual Marking: Designate certain date ranges as "Annually," ensuring workflows pause automatically each year.

How It Works

The Pause Workflow feature is now seamlessly integrated into the Global Workflow Settings. Here's a breakdown of what you can expect:

  • Up to 15 Date Ranges: Users can now add up to 15 date ranges for pausing.
  • Draft-Like State: Paused workflows will behave similarly to when they are in a "Draft" state.
  • Effortless Tracking: View pause details directly within each workflow’s builder settings, offering transparency and ease of management.

How to Use the Pause Feature

  1. Access Global Workflow Settings: Navigate to this section to begin setting pauses.
  2. Set Dates: Choose your "Start Date" and "End Date" for workflow pauses.
  3. Select Workflows: Opt to pause "All" or select individual workflows from your list.
  4. Annual Pause: Check the "Annually" option to ensure workflows pause on the same dates each year.
  5. Manage Date Ranges: Easily duplicate or delete rows using the "Clone" or "Delete" icons.
  6. Save Changes: Once configured, click on "Save" to apply your settings.

Practical Application

Consider pausing workflows during key holiday periods, such as December 25th to January 2nd. This prevents customer communication during these times, streamlining your operations in alignment with your organization's schedule.

Important Notes

  • The maximum difference allowed between the start and end date is 15 days.
  • Ensure a workflow isn't part of overlapping date ranges.
  • This feature is exclusively accessible for Admin roles.

We encourage you to integrate this new feature into your workflow management strategy, enhancing the efficiency and timing of your automated processes.
