Documents and Contracts: Support for Today’s Date & Signer Name Toggle
Enhancements in document management continue to empower our users to create polished and functional documents. The latest update introduces two new features that bring significant improvements to the date and signer name field elements.
What’s New?
- Today’s Date in Date Field Element:
- You can now add today’s date directly to the date field element. This feature limits the selection of the date range for the signer to the specific day when the document is being signed.
- Signer Name Toggle in Signature Field:
- Historically, the signer’s name appeared by default above the signature element in the generated PDF. Now, you can choose whether or not to display the signer’s name.
How to Use?
- Adding Today’s Date:
- Add a date field element to your document.
- Navigate to the available dates menu.
- Select “Today’s date” as the option.
- Enabling or Disabling Signer Name on Signature Field:
- Add a signature field element to your document.
- Assign a signer to the signature field.
- In the properties panel, enable or disable the checkbox to show the signer’s name as needed.
Why This Feature?
These updates are designed to provide users with the flexibility to create professional and functional documents. The addition of today’s date ensures signers are provided a straightforward date selection that’s relevant to the signing day. Meanwhile, giving control over whether to display the signer’s name enhances the customization and appearance of the final documents.
