E-KYC Changes for UK Phone Numbers
As part of new regulatory requirements, the Know Your Customer (KYC) process will be mandatory for purchasing UK-based phone numbers. Here’s what you need to know:
- Creating a Regulatory Bundle: Navigate to Settings > Phone Numbers > Regulatory Bundle/Address > Create to create a regulatory bundle. This bundle will allow you to complete the KYC process.
- Deadline for New Purchases: For any new UK number purchases, the KYC process must be completed after May 27, 2024.
- Existing UK Numbers: For existing UK phone numbers, the KYC process must be completed by September 30, 2024.
Enhancements
- Increased Call Queue Capacity: Call queues now support up to 100 calls reliably. Issues previously encountered with more than 50 calls in the queue have been addressed and resolved.
- Audit Logs Visibility: Audit logs will now be available for numbers purchased, ensuring better tracking and transparency.
- Workflow Call Management: Disable workflow calls for inactive accounts to prevent any unintended calls or charges.
- Call Management for Inactive Accounts: Moving forward, both inbound and outbound calls for inactive accounts will be disabled to avoid unintended charges.
Bug Fixes
- Duplicate Notifications: A bug where duplicate notification messages were sent for single requests has been fixed.
