We're excited to share a key update for those utilizing Toll-Free Numbers: the requirement for an Employer Identification Number (EIN) or any business registration number has been removed for sending SMS. This streamlines the verification process, making it more accessible to all users, including sole proprietors.
In our streamlined user interface, accessible under Account Settings > Phone Numbers > Manage Numbers, you will now notice a "Verification Required" icon. By selecting this, you enter the updated verification flow. Previously, users were required to provide an EIN number, as depicted below:
With this update, the need for an EIN is no more:
It's important to note that while the EIN requirement is lifted, users who haven't already completed Know Your Customer (KYC) verification will be prompted to do so.
