Sole Proprietor Support Added to Chat Widget A2P Registration
Sole Proprietor accounts can now complete A2P registration through the chat widget flow.
This update streamlines setup by automatically detecting Sole Proprietor registrations, pre-selecting the campaign use case, and pre-filling consent content based on the message type selected.
What Changed
- Sole Proprietor accounts are now automatically identified in the chat widget A2P registration flow.
- When a Sole Proprietor account is detected, the campaign use case is pre-selected.
- Users still choose their message type: Marketing or Promotional, or Transactional or Non-Marketing.
- The consent screen is pre-filled based on that message type selection.

Why It Matters
Previously, Sole Proprietor accounts could not use the simplified chat widget flow and had to complete registration through a separate self-serve process.
With this change, Sole Proprietors can use the same faster registration experience available in the chat widget, which can reduce setup time and help support a cleaner compliance process. For more on SMBcrm Communication, visit the feature page.
