AI Studio Adds Dedicated User Permissions
AI Studio now supports dedicated permissions for controlling who can view or manage AI Studio within an account. This update also moves AI Studio to the IAM V2 permission architecture for more consistent access management.
What changed
AI Studio now includes two permission levels:
- View AI Studio: Allows read-only access.
- View & Manage AI Studio: Allows read and write access.
All AI Studio UI components and APIs are now protected based on assigned permissions. Only authorized users can create, edit, or manage AI Studio resources, and permission enforcement is standardized through IAM V2.
Why it matters
Admins and owners can apply more granular controls over AI Studio access and team responsibilities. This helps teams collaborate more safely while limiting management access to the users who need it.
This update also addresses a frequently requested improvement for SMBcrm AI features.
