Chat Widget Color Picker Now Matches Browser Support
The Chat Widget color picker now adapts to the browser being used, so users only see color-selection controls their browser supports.
What Changed
In Safari and Firefox, the eyedropper option is hidden because these browsers do not currently support the native API required for that feature.
In Chrome, the eyedropper remains available and works as before.
Across supported browsers, users can still configure custom colors with the color spectrum, hue controls, and hex input.
How It Works
SMBcrm detects browser capability automatically. If the browser supports the native eyedropper API, the eyedropper option appears. If not, the option is hidden.
No Chat Widget configuration or code changes are required.
Why It Matters
Previously, Safari and Firefox could show an eyedropper option that looked usable but did not work when selected. This made the color picker appear broken even though the rest of the color tools were working correctly.
The color picker now reflects actual browser support while preserving standard color-selection options.
Availability
This update is live for everyone. Existing Chat Widget configurations and previously saved colors are unaffected.
