Drag and Move Workflow Nodes in the Builder
You can now drag and move workflow nodes directly on the canvas. This update makes it easier to reorganize actions and branches as your workflow changes.
For teams using automation, this reduces the time it takes to clean up larger workflow layouts and adjust branch structure.
How It Works
When you hover over a node, a 6-dot drag handle appears. Click and hold that handle, then move the node to a new position in the workflow.
As you drag, the canvas shows a “Move here” indicator so you can see valid drop locations before placing the node.
How to Use It
- Hover over a node to reveal the 6-dot drag handle.
- Click and hold the handle.
- Drag the node to a new position.
- Drop it where the “Move here” indicator appears.
What Changed
Previously, reorganizing workflow steps could require deleting steps or using a right-click move option for each node. With direct drag and move behavior on the canvas, reorganizing branches is more straightforward.
Notes
- The 6-dot drag handle only appears when you hover over a node.
- Nodes are moved directly from the canvas.
- Valid drop locations are guided by the “Move here” indicator.
