Review and Retry Failed PayPal Affiliate Payouts

Affiliate Manager now tracks PayPal-denied or failed payouts, shows failure reasons, and lets you return payouts to approval for another attempt.

Affiliate Manager now checks PayPal’s response when tracking payouts. Previously, payouts sent to PayPal were marked Paid even if PayPal later denied them. Payout statuses now reflect denied or failed payments.

What Changed

  • Failed tab: Lists payouts denied or failed by the payment gateway. This tab appears only when failed payouts exist.
  • Processing tab: Shows payouts still being confirmed. This tab appears only when there are In Progress payouts.
  • Failure details: Each failed payout displays a PAYMENT FAILED badge and the reason returned by PayPal.
  • Payout actions: The three-dot menu on each failed payout includes View Contact, View Commission(s), View Payment Status, and Retry Payment.

How to Retry a Failed Payout

  1. Go to Marketing > Affiliate Manager > Payouts.
  2. Open the Failed tab and review the failure reason.
  3. Open the payout’s three-dot menu and select Retry Payment.
  4. The payout returns to Approved for Payout. Pay it again from there.

Retry Payment returns the payout to approval rather than sending it immediately, so you can review the failure and manage the next payment attempt yourself.
