Overview
March 2026 brought 101 updates to SMBcrm, with focus on Automation, CRM & Sales, Calendars, and Communication.
Highlights include Rentals for Flexible Multi-Day Bookings, Inbound Email Support in SMBcrm Conversation AI, and ACH Bank Transfers for US and Canada Accounts Using NMI.
Add Cost Price and Margin to Products
Released March 3, 2026
You can now add a cost price and margin to each product price or variant in SMBcrm. This gives you a built-in way to track profitability without relying on spreadsheets or outside tools.
Cost data can now flow into invoices, calendars, and transaction exports, helping you understand what you are making on each sale. This update is part of Payments & Commerce.
What Changed
- Add cost price and margin under any product price or variant using a new Add Margin toggle.
- The toggle is off by default, so existing products are unaffected unless you enable it.
- Choose either Amount or Percentage mode for margin.
- If you enter one value, the other is calculated automatically based on the selling price.
- Margin percentages above 100% are supported. This indicates the cost is higher than the selling price.
- A new Line Item Cost Price column is included in Transactions CSV exports when a product has a defined cost price.
How It Works in Invoices, Calendars, and Exports
For invoices and calendars where prices are manually overridden, cost price is still pulled from the original product. It is not recalculated from the overridden sale price.
This keeps cost tracking consistent across product-based sales records and exported transaction data.
Where to Find It
To configure cost price and margin:
- Go to Payments → Products
- Create or edit a product
- In the Pricing section, enable Add Margin
- Set the cost price and margin for any product price or variant
To export transaction data:
- Go to Payments → Transactions
- Export the CSV
- Look for the Line Item Cost Price column when cost price has been defined for a product
Planned Improvements
The source release notes these planned additions:
- Bulk cost price editing across products
- Margin data in additional export types
- Cost price and margin updates and usage on invoices
AI-Powered Field Tooltips in Workflows
Released March 3, 2026
Workflow action fields now include AI-powered tooltips that provide contextual explanations directly inside the builder.
This builds on the existing AI “Learn More” guidance for actions and triggers by extending help to the individual field level. In supported fields, hovering over the info icon shows a short description of the field’s purpose along with an Explain option. Selecting Explain opens the AI assistant with a more detailed explanation of the field and how it affects the workflow.
Users can also ask follow-up questions without leaving the builder, making it easier to understand settings while working in automation workflows.
Current Availability
This feature is currently in experiment mode.
At this stage, it is live on two fields within Advanced Settings for the Manual Action to SMS and Manual Action to Call actions. Broader rollout will depend on the results of this test.
Why It Matters
Field-level AI guidance helps users understand settings in context instead of leaving the builder to search documentation or guess what a field does.
For teams building workflows, that can reduce confusion, speed up setup, and make the builder easier to use for newer users.
What Comes Next
Based on the experiment results, these AI-powered tooltips may expand to more fields across actions and triggers.
Assign Contacts to the User Who Answered an IVR Call
Released March 3, 2026
SMBcrm workflows can now use IVR Connect Call data to automatically assign contact ownership to the person who answered the call.
This update adds these variables:
- Answered By User ID
- Answered By Device
- Answered By Phone Number
These values are also available in the custom variable picker, so you can use them in other automation workflows such as notes, SMS, and email actions.
How it works
When a call reaches your IVR and is routed through Connect Call, SMBcrm captures who answered the call. In a workflow, you can reference that data dynamically.
The most common use is passing Answered By User ID into the Assign User action so the contact is assigned to the user who actually spoke with the lead.
How to use it
- Add an Assign User action after your IVR → Connect Call step.
- In the Users field, switch to Dynamic.
- Select Connect Call → Answered By User ID.
- Save and publish the workflow.
Why it matters
Previously, contact ownership had to be set manually or assigned to a fixed user. With this change, ownership can automatically follow the person who answered the call.
That helps keep follow-ups, tasks, and reporting more accurate.
Example
A lead calls your IVR and the call is routed through Connect Call. John answers the phone. The workflow uses Answered By User ID from the Connect Call step, and the contact is automatically assigned to John.
Notes
- Works for both single-user and multi-user Connect Call setups.
- Assignment happens only if the call is successfully answered.
- The first connected user is used as the owner.
- Assign User does not work if Connect Call routes to a custom phone number because there is no associated user ID.
- For dynamic assignment, use Answered By User ID, not device or phone number.
Company Variables in Contact-Based Workflows
Released March 3, 2026
You can now use company fields inside contact-based workflows. This update expands what you can do in Automation by letting workflows reference company details alongside contact fields.
What Changed
When building a contact-based workflow, company fields now appear in the Custom Value picker and in If/Else conditions. If a contact is associated with a company, the workflow can pull in company details such as:
- Company name
- Phone number
- Email address
- Website
- Address
- Other company fields
This allows you to use company data in messages, notes, and workflow logic.
How to Use It
- Open a workflow and add or edit an action or If/Else branch.
- Select the Custom Value picker.
- Choose a company field.
- Insert it into your message, note, or branch condition.
Why It Matters
For businesses that manage contacts linked to companies, this removes manual workarounds and extra field mapping. You can personalize outreach and make workflow decisions using company-level data tied to each contact.
Example Uses
- Insert the company name from a contact’s associated company record into an email for more relevant business outreach.
- Create an If/Else branch that checks the company address city and routes contacts based on location.
Notes
- Company variables only populate when the contact is associated with a company.
- If no company is associated, the variable value will be blank.
- Company fields are available in both the Custom Value picker and If/Else conditions.
Connect Call in Workflows Now Supports Call Whisper
Released March 3, 2026
The Connect Call action in Automation now supports an optional Call Whisper message. This gives the person answering a short private message before the caller is connected.
What Changed
When Call Whisper is enabled, the system plays your configured message to the call recipient first, then connects the caller. You can control the message text, voice, and how many times the message repeats.
How to Use It
- Open the Connect Call action in your workflow.
- Turn on Add Whisper Message.
- Enter the message settings.
- Save the action.
After that, the recipient will hear the whisper message before the call connects.
Why It Matters
Transferred calls can arrive without enough context. Call Whisper helps your team understand who is calling and why before they answer, while keeping that message private from the caller.
Example Use Case
A whisper message might say: “You’ve got a call from {{contact.name}} about their appointment request.” This gives the recipient useful context before pickup.
Notes
- Call Whisper is optional and only plays when enabled.
- The whisper message is played to the recipient only, before the call connects.
- You can set the number of loops for the message.
- Whisper messages currently support English only.
- Keep messages short so the recipient can hear the context quickly.
Fixed: If/Else Branching for UTM Campaign Attribution
Released March 3, 2026
A workflow inconsistency has been fixed for UTM Campaign attribution. If/Else conditions now use the same fallback behavior as the custom value picker when the last attribution value is empty.
What changed
In Automation workflows, If/Else conditions now correctly apply fallback logic for UTM Campaign (Last Attribution).
Previously, when UTM Campaign (Last Attribution) was empty, the custom value picker would fall back to the campaign variable, but If/Else conditions would not. That could cause workflows to branch unexpectedly.
With this fix, If/Else conditions now use the campaign variable as a fallback when UTM Campaign (Last Attribution) is empty, bringing behavior into alignment across both areas.
Why it matters
This update helps make workflow branching more consistent and predictable when attribution data is missing.

Released March 3, 2026

How to Get Started
To enable Rentals, ask SMBcrm support to add your account to the beta program.
Why It Matters
Rentals makes it easier to support booking models that do not fit standard appointments. With this update, businesses can:
- Offer multi-day, weekly, or monthly bookings
- Manage stock and listing variants
- Support quantity-based and multi-item checkout
- Handle rental workflows for a wider range of services and industries
Rentals is currently live in public beta and will continue to evolve with ongoing improvements.
Smarter Booking Period Controls for Rentals
Released March 3, 2026
SMBcrm has improved how Booking Periods work in Rentals so date and time behavior is clearer and easier to manage at the listing level.
Businesses can now choose whether a listing uses dates only or dates and times without relying on hidden global settings. This makes booking logic more visible inside each listing and helps reduce confusion around pricing, duration, and rental start and end times.
What’s Changed
Clear booking period options
Listings now show three defined Booking Period modes:
- Date & Time Selector
- Date Selector
- Fixed Durations
Each mode now behaves in a more visible and predictable way.
Date & Time Selector
This mode always shows date and time pickers in the booking widget.
It is useful for hourly rentals or bookings where customers need to choose both a start time and an end time.
Date Selector
This mode lets customers choose start and end dates only.
Default Rental Start Time and Rental End Time are now visible in listing settings and are used to calculate duration. This setup fits vacation rentals, overnight stays, and other date-based pricing models.
Fixed Durations
For listings with predefined booking durations:
- Customers can optionally select a start time
- If time selection is turned off, the default Rental Start Time is applied automatically
- The end time is calculated from the selected duration
- Monthly bookings roll over to the next calendar month with date handling built in
Compatibility Rules
To prevent unsupported setups:
- When Booking Period is set to Date Selector, hourly pricing is disabled
- When Booking Unit is set to Hour, Date Selector is disabled
These rules help ensure only valid combinations can be selected.
Configuration Improvements
The previous Disable Time Selector behavior is now shown directly within each listing and has been removed from global settings.
This makes booking behavior self-contained inside the listing and easier to review when configuring rentals.
Migration for Existing Listings
Existing listings were mapped to the appropriate booking period mode.
Default rental start and end times were also populated where needed to support the updated behavior.
Why It Matters
This update helps:
- Reduce accidental multi-day charges
- Make rental start and end times easier to understand
- Let businesses control time selection per listing
- Improve clarity for admins and customers
- Better support vacation rentals and flexible pricing models
Trigger Descriptions in Workflow Builder
Released March 3, 2026
Workflow triggers now include built-in descriptions in the Workflow Builder. Users can see what each trigger does and when it runs while browsing, selecting, or editing triggers.
What Changed
Each trigger in the Workflow Builder now shows a human-readable description of its function and when it fires.
How It Works
Open the Workflow Builder and add or edit a trigger. Each available trigger now displays a clear description, so you can choose the right option without relying on external documentation.
For teams building automation workflows, this makes setup more straightforward and easier to review.
Why It Matters
Clear trigger descriptions reduce guesswork during workflow setup. This helps both new and experienced users identify the right trigger faster and build workflows more confidently.
Pre-Built A2P Campaign Registration for Chat Widget Opt-Ins
Released March 4, 2026
SMBcrm has added a pre-built A2P campaign registration flow centered on Chat Widget opt-ins. It automates key compliance steps to help reduce rejection risk during campaign submission.
What Changed
Users starting a standard A2P campaign registration can now choose a pre-built campaign path for Chat Widget opt-ins.
This flow is designed to:
- use Chat Widget as the only opt-in method
- automatically generate compliant consent language
- lock required compliance elements
- help prevent financial and marketing misclassification
- reduce the risk of carrier rejections
Streamlined Use Case Selection
The registration flow now guides users through message type selection first:
- Marketing / Promotional
- Informational / Non-Marketing
Based on that choice, the available use cases are filtered.
If Marketing is selected, only Marketing is available.
If Informational is selected, users can choose from:
- 2FA
- Account Notification
- Customer Care
- Delivery Notification
- Fraud Alert
- Higher education
- Polling and Voting
- Public Service Announcement
- Security Alert
Built-In Compliance Protections
Financial and Marketing conflict protection
If a user selects both Marketing / Promotional and Financial services / loan arrangement, the flow is blocked. Users must switch to Informational to continue.
Automatic age gating
Age gating is automatically enforced when either of these is selected:
- Age gated content
- Financial services / loan arrangement
When triggered:
- a required Date of Birth field appears in the widget
- the field cannot be removed
- the field must be completed before submission
If neither condition applies, the Date of Birth field does not appear.
Auto-Generated Compliance Widget
The system now automatically:
- creates a compliant Chat Widget
- inserts the business name into the disclosure
- applies locked disclosure language
- adds STOP and HELP language
- adds data rate and frequency disclosures
- attaches the widget to the campaign
- generates embed code
Users cannot:
- edit disclosure text
- remove required fields
- add consent checkboxes
- edit compliance fields
- select alternative opt-in methods
Final Widget Structure
Required locked elements
- Phone number
- Disclosure block
- STOP and HELP language
- Data rate disclosure
- Frequency disclosure
Conditional element
- Date of Birth when age gating is triggered
Optional elements
- Name
- Message
- UI styling such as colors and header text
Removed elements
- Email field
- Consent checkbox
- Custom compliance fields
- Editable disclosure text
- Opt-in method selector
Preview and Final Review
Users can view a read-only preview of the widget, including disclosure placement and the Date of Birth field when applicable.
Before submission, the final consent review is locked. Fields are auto-filled, sample messages are generated, the opt-in method is defined, and website compliance checklist confirmation is required.
Who This Affects
This update affects:
- accounts submitting new A2P campaigns
- users launching marketing-only campaigns
- users launching informational-only campaigns
- campaigns involving financial or age-gated content
Important Note
This campaign registration flow is not available for mixed use-case campaigns or sole proprietor campaigns.

Ad Manager Adds Website and Hybrid Meta Lead Options
Released March 6, 2026
Ad Manager now supports more conversion location options for Meta lead generation campaigns. In addition to Instant Forms, you can now choose Website or Website and Instant Forms when setting up an ad set.
What changed
- Added a Conversion Location setting at the ad set level with these options:
- Instant Forms as the default
- Website
- Website and Instant Forms
- Added Dataset (Pixel) selection for Website and hybrid setups
- Added a Conversion Event dropdown for Website and hybrid conversion locations
- Added a Destination URL field at the ad level for Website and hybrid ads
- Hybrid ads can now include both a lead form and a website URL in the same ad
How it works
-
Choose the Lead Generation objective.
-
At the ad set level, select a Conversion Location:
- Instant Forms uses a lead form only
- Website requires a dataset and conversion event
- Website and Instant Forms also requires a dataset and conversion event
-
At the ad level:
- Website requires a destination URL
- Instant Forms requires a lead form
- Website and Instant Forms requires both
-
Publishing is blocked if required fields are missing.
Why it matters
These changes give advertisers more flexibility in how Meta lead campaigns are optimized and where leads are collected. Website-based optimization can use pixel events, while hybrid setups support both form-based and website-based lead capture in the same ad.
Notes
- Conversion Location cannot be changed after publish
- Instant Forms remains the default option for backward compatibility
- Reporting adjusts based on the selected conversion location

AI Builder Adds a To-Do List for Workflow Setup
Released March 6, 2026
AI Builder now shows a To-Do List for workflow steps that still need manual input. This gives you a clear view of what still needs attention before a workflow is ready to publish.
How It Works
- Generate a workflow using AI Builder.
- A To-Do List appears automatically for any action or trigger that still needs your input.
- Select the pencil icon next to an item to jump directly to that step in the workflow canvas.
- Complete the required fields, then publish when the workflow is ready.
Why It Matters
Some workflow settings still require a human decision, such as connecting integration credentials, selecting an account, choosing a pipeline, or defining which step to wait for.
By collecting these incomplete items in one place, the To-Do List helps reduce the chance of publishing incomplete automation workflows that could affect contacts or system behavior.
Appointment Status Changes Skip External Emails
Released March 6, 2026
SMBcrm has adjusted how appointment status changes work for Showed and No Show.
Previously, changing an appointment to one of these statuses could push an update to connected external calendars such as Google, Outlook, or iCloud. That could trigger event update emails to attendees even when nothing meaningful had changed for them.
What’s Changed
When an appointment is marked as Showed or No Show, SMBcrm no longer sends that status change to connected external calendars.
This means attendees will no longer receive unnecessary external event update emails for those status changes.
What Stays the Same
Internal tracking still works as expected.
Status changes for Showed and No Show continue to be available inside SMBcrm for reporting and automation.
Why It Matters
- Reduces unnecessary appointment update emails
- Helps avoid confusion for customers and attendees
- Keeps external calendar activity limited to meaningful changes
- Preserves internal operational tracking without making it customer-facing
Assign to User Now Skips Inactive Users in Workflows
Released March 6, 2026
SMBcrm workflows now revalidate user status when the Assign to User action runs with Split Traffic enabled. If a user is inactive or deleted, that user is skipped during assignment.
This helps prevent contacts from being assigned to users who can no longer receive follow-up tasks.
What changed
In Automation workflows, the Assign to User action now checks each configured user’s status at execution time.
If a user in the Split Traffic list is no longer active, that user is excluded from assignment when the step runs.
How assignment works now
- Inactive or deleted users are skipped during assignment.
- The existing split distribution order does not reset.
- Traffic continues to distribute as if the deleted user was never in the list.
- If only one user was configured and that user is deleted, the step is skipped.
Why it matters
This update reduces the chance of contacts being assigned to unavailable users, which can help teams avoid missed follow-ups and keep workflow routing more reliable.
Export Email Marketing Data from Email Statistics
Released March 6, 2026
SMBcrm users can now export email performance data from the Email Statistics section as a CSV file.

- All campaigns

- Workflows only, at the individual email action level
- Bulk actions only
Each export includes key metrics such as:
- Deliveries
- Opens
- Clicks
The exported CSV is sent by email as a secure download link that remains valid for 30 days.
Why It Matters
This update makes it easier to:
- Analyze performance across campaigns and workflows
- Share results by email
- Download data for reporting
A Recent Downloads section is also available under Settings, so you can track exports created in the last 30 days.
How to Use It
-
Enable the feature in Labs.
-
Go to Marketing → Email.
-
Open the Statistics tab.
-
Click Export.
-
Enter the email address or addresses where you want to receive the file, then continue.

Dashboard and Report Filters Now Persist by User
Released March 9, 2026
SMBcrm dashboards and custom reports now remember selected date ranges and filters by user. This helps reduce repeat setup when you return to a report and keeps shared report emails tied to the values used at send time.
What changed
Dashboards
- Selected dashboard date ranges now save automatically for each user.
- Dashboard widget dropdown selections now persist based on the user’s last selection.
- Saved selections stay in place until they are changed manually.
- AI Summary now reflects the selected pipeline instead of defaulting to the first pipeline option.
- If a saved filter such as a pipeline is deleted, SMBcrm automatically selects the first available option.
- Duplicated dashboards retain relevant date and filter settings.
- Dashboard-level date filters now support a comparison date range that also applies to general widgets.
- If a widget has its own comparison setting, the widget-level comparison takes priority over the dashboard-level setting.
Custom reports
- Custom reports now follow the same filter and date persistence behavior as dashboards.
- Dropdown selections are saved for all users when the report creator clicks Save.
- Email sharing sends a snapshot of the report values at the time the email is generated.
- Later changes to the report do not affect emails that were already sent.
- Custom report builder now supports a comparison date range that also applies to general widgets.
- If a widget has its own comparison setting, the widget-level comparison takes priority over the report-level setting.
Important notes
- Widget-level date settings can still differ from the main dashboard date setting.
- Restoring an account snapshot does not copy user-specific preferences.
Why it matters
This update makes dashboards and reports more consistent from one session to the next. You do not need to keep reapplying the same filters, and emailed reports remain aligned with the values that were selected when they were sent.
Notes for Custom Objects
Released March 9, 2026
You can now create and manage notes directly on custom object records.
This update helps your team keep discussions, updates, and key details tied to the record they belong to instead of spreading that context across unrelated records.
What Changed
- Add and view notes directly inside custom object records
- Keep notes linked to a specific custom object record for better context
- Associate existing or new notes from contacts or opportunities with a related custom object record
- Use the same notes interface and editor already used for contacts and opportunities
- Find notes more easily with filtering and search by entity, author, or keywords
How to Enable It
Go to Labs and turn on Notes for Custom Objects.
How to Use It
- Open Custom Objects and select a record.
- Go to Notes.
- Add a note directly to that record.
You can also open a note from a contact or opportunity and associate it with a related custom object record.
Why It Matters
- Keeps important context on the record you are actively managing
- Reduces duplicate note-taking and copy-pasting between records
- Makes shared visibility easier when the same note is relevant across records
- Helps users find the right note faster with search and filters
Virtual Businesses Added to Reputation Competitor Analysis
Released March 9, 2026
SMBcrm has updated Reputation & Growth Competitor Analysis to support virtual and service-area businesses. This makes it easier to track competitors that do not operate from a physical storefront.
What Changed
Add virtual businesses manually
You can now add competitors using:
- Virtual addresses
- Service areas
- Website URLs
This is especially useful for:
- Online-only businesses
- Service-area businesses
- Franchise or multi-region brands operating remotely
Improved search experience
The competitor search flow has also been updated to make setup faster:
- Start typing a business name
- See suggestions in a dropdown list
- Select a result to auto-populate details
Expanded analysis coverage
Virtual competitors are now included in:
- Ratings comparison
- Reviews benchmarking
- Keyword share tracking
- Overall competitive insights
Why It Matters
Previously, competitor analysis depended on physical Google Maps listings. That made it harder to track online-only or remote competitors and could leave gaps in your market view.
With this update, you can compare physical and virtual businesses in one place and get a more complete picture of your niche.
Where to Find It
Go to Reputation → Competitor Analysis → Add a Virtual Business Manually.
Workflow Goal Events for Invoice Payments and Review Clicks
Released March 9, 2026
SMBcrm workflows now support two additional Goal Event types: Invoice Paid and Review Request Clicked. These events let you move contacts to a Goal step when a payment status changes or when a contact clicks a review request link.
For teams using automation workflows, this can reduce extra branches and manual checks in follow-up sequences.
What Changed
Invoice Paid
The goal is completed when a contact has an invoice marked Paid or Partially Paid.
You can set the goal to trigger from:
- any qualifying invoice for that contact, or
- only the invoice connected to a selected Send Invoice step
Review Request Clicked
The goal is completed when a contact clicks a review request link.
You can match clicks from:
- any channel, or
- only selected channel(s)
- a specific review link, if you want to narrow the trigger
How to Use It
- Add a Goal Event step to your workflow.
- Choose Invoice Paid or Review Request Clicked.
- Apply any filters you want.
- Choose what should happen if the contact reaches the Goal step before the event occurs.
- Save the workflow.
Why It Matters
These goal events help you advance contacts based on real outcomes:
- payment received
- review interest shown through a click
That makes it easier to build cleaner automations for receipts, next steps, thank-you messages, and referral follow-ups.
Example Uses
- After a Send Invoice action, a contact pays. The Invoice Paid goal can move them to a receipt or next-step sequence.
- After sending a review request by SMS, a contact clicks the review link. The Review Request Clicked goal can move them to a thank-you or referral follow-up.
Notes
- If an Invoice Paid goal is not tied to a specific invoice action, any qualifying paid invoice for that contact can complete the goal.
- For Review Request Clicked, leaving the channel and review link filters blank creates a broader match. Adding filters narrows the goal to only those clicks.

Enhanced Appointment Visibility for Followers
Released March 10, 2026
Overview
Appointment visibility has been improved for followers to support better team collaboration.
Previously, only the assigned user could view a contact’s appointments. Now, users who follow a contact can also view that contact’s appointments, as long as Assigned Data visibility and the proper calendar permissions are enabled.
What’s New
- Followers can now view appointments for contacts they follow.
- Appointment visibility is now aligned between assigned users and followers.
- Users limited to assigned records can also see appointments for contacts they follow.
Permission Behavior
- Followers need View appointments, calendars & groups permission to see appointments.
- Without Manage appointments, followers can view appointments but cannot edit or delete them.
- With Manage appointments, followers can manage appointments based on their permission level.
Why It Matters
- Improves collaboration across teams working the same contacts.
- Reduces confusion around missing appointment visibility.
- Better matches real-world team workflows.
- Gives restricted-access users more context when following a contact.

AI Builder Can Now Configure and Rename Workflows
Released March 13, 2026
SMBcrm’s AI Builder and Assistant can now rename workflows and configure core workflow settings directly from a natural language prompt. Users can make naming changes, update settings, and apply workflow actions without manually opening each settings tab.
What Changed
AI can now handle workflow naming during generation and while editing an existing workflow.
- If you provide a workflow name, AI applies it directly.
- If no name is provided, AI generates one based on context.
- You can also ask AI to rename the workflow you are currently editing.
AI can also read and update core workflow settings from a prompt, including:
- Re-entry settings
- Multiple opportunities
- Stop on response
- Time zone
- Business hour time windows
- From name, from email, and from number
- Mark conversations as read
This makes it easier to manage automation without moving through multiple settings screens.
Why It Matters
Users can now describe a more complete workflow setup in one prompt, including the workflow name, settings, and actions. That helps turn a rough workflow idea into a more complete automation with fewer manual steps.
For example, while editing an appointment reminder workflow, you can ask AI to rename it, update sender details, add a follow-up action, and limit it to specific business hours. AI then applies those changes directly in the workflow.
This update expands what SMBcrm AI features can do inside workflows and reduces manual configuration during setup and edits.

AI Schema Markup in the Website and Funnel Builder
Released March 16, 2026
SMBcrm now supports AI-assisted schema markup inside the Website and Funnel Builder. Instead of manually choosing schema types and filling in fields, you can use AI to generate, edit, and remove schema markup based on the content already on your page.
This update is part of SMBcrm’s AI features and is designed to make structured data setup faster and easier for page-level SEO work.
What Changed
You can now use AI to:
- generate schema markup from page content
- edit existing schema markup
- delete schema markup through a conversational workflow
- validate and save generated schema automatically
According to the release, AI can generate any of the 201+ supported schema types across a 3-tier hierarchy.
How It Works
When you open schema markup from the page editor, AI reads the live content on the page, selects relevant schema types, and pre-populates the fields.
You can then refine the result in chat by asking AI to:
- change the schema type
- adjust field values
- add custom values
- remove schemas you do not want
After validation, the schema is saved automatically. There is no separate save button.
Where to Access It
To use it:
- Turn on the Schema Markup Generator in Labs settings.
- In the Website or Funnel Builder, open Edit Page.
- Go to SEO & AI search optimization.
- Open Schema Markup.
- Select Create with AI.
If the AI builder panel is enabled, schema generation runs there. If not, a dedicated schema markup AI pane opens for schema-only actions.
What to Expect
Once started, AI will:
- read the current page content
- generate applicable schemas with pre-filled fields
- let you refine the result through chat
- validate and auto-save the active schemas
- require you to publish the page before the schema goes live
Good to Know
- Schema is not generated automatically when you create a new page with AI. You need to run it after the page content is finalized.
- If a page has no content, AI will return an error and will not generate schema.
- Schema is page-specific and does not carry over to other pages or funnel steps.
For teams focused on search visibility and page optimization, this update simplifies structured data work inside the builder and supports broader Reputation & Growth efforts.

Drag the dialer anywhere on screen
You can now move the dialer anywhere on your screen. If the dialer is pinned, it will remember its position and reopen where you left it.

Asana Workflow Actions Add Find Project and Section
Released March 17, 2026
SMBcrm workflows now include two Asana actions that help you look up project data dynamically inside your automations.
These updates make it easier to work with Asana projects and sections without manually storing or hardcoding IDs. If you use automation to create or route tasks, this can simplify setup and reduce maintenance.
Find Project
The Find Project action lets you search for an Asana project by name and retrieve its project ID.
What it does
- Locates a project by name
- Returns the project ID
- Makes that project data available for downstream workflow steps
Why it matters
Previously, users often had to hardcode project IDs or save them elsewhere for reuse. With this action, workflows can retrieve that information when needed.
Find Section
The Find Section action lets you find sections within a selected Asana project and output the section ID for later steps.
What it does
- Fetches sections inside a selected project
- Returns section IDs
- Supports dynamic routing when creating tasks in a specific section
Why it matters
Earlier, creating a task in a specific section required users to hardcode the section ID. With this action, workflows can find the correct section dynamically.
Example Use Cases
- Retrieve a project ID by project name instead of storing the ID in a custom value picker
- Pass a section ID from Find Section into a task creation step so the task is created in the intended section

- Existing appointments open with pre-filled details for faster updates.
- Users can view, edit, or delete an appointment directly from the opportunity.
How it works
- Open Opportunities.
- Select an opportunity.
- Click Book/Update Appointment.
- If no appointment exists, create a new one.

These options are available across all QR code types.
Access Form Submissions in Conversations
Released March 19, 2026
Form submissions can now appear directly inside conversation threads, making it easier to review what a contact submitted without leaving Conversations. This gives teams more context for faster, more informed follow-up.
What’s Changed
Form responses are now automatically attached to the relevant conversation thread when they are tied to a contact. This creates a more unified view of contact activity by bringing messages, form submissions, and interaction history into one place.
For teams using Communication and Lead Capture, this can reduce tab switching and make replies more context-aware.
Why It Matters
- See what a lead submitted before replying
- Keep conversation history and form details together
- Improve follow-up speed with better contact context
- Reduce the need to navigate across different sections
How It Works
- Go to Conversations.
- Open a conversation tied to a contact who submitted a form.
- Find the form submission entry in the thread.
- Open it to review the full submission details.
Key Notes
- This works for forms created within SMBcrm.
- Submissions appear automatically when they are associated with the correct contact and conversation.
- Visibility depends on proper form-to-contact association.

Analytics Filters for Funnels, Websites, and Webinars
Released March 19, 2026
SMBcrm now supports filters in analytics for funnels, websites, and webinars. You can narrow results by dimensions like country, channel, page title, and referrer to analyze performance more precisely.
What changed
You can now apply filters across funnel, website, and webinar analytics to focus on the data you want to review.
This updated filtering experience lets you:
- Apply one or multiple filters at the same time
- See charts and metrics update based on your selections
- Remove individual filters or clear all filters quickly
- View active filters directly in the analytics view
If you use Websites & Funnels, this makes it easier to compare segments and review performance without exporting data first.
How to access it
- Go to Sites > Analytics.
- Choose Funnels, Websites, or Webinars.
- Select the asset you want to review.
- Click Advanced filter to add one or more filters.
Why it matters
Filtering gives you more control over analytics so you can answer more specific questions, such as:
- Which countries are driving the best results
- How a specific page is performing
- Which traffic sources are converting better
Instead of looking only at overall totals, you can break down performance by segment and explore trends with more context.
Example use cases
- Review funnel performance for visitors from a specific country
- Analyze website traffic from a certain source or channel
- Check webinar analytics for a more targeted audience segment
Associate Companies with Custom Objects and Opportunities
Released March 19, 2026
SMBcrm now supports direct company associations with custom objects and opportunities. This update gives teams more flexible ways to map relationships across the CRM and manage related records in one place.
What changed
You can now:
- Associate companies with custom objects
- Associate companies with opportunities
- View and manage these relationships directly in record views
- See associated records in list views
- Support one-to-one, one-to-many, and many-to-many relationships
This expands how data can be connected across your CRM and sales workflows.
Why it matters
Before this change, relationship mapping was more limited. With company associations available for custom objects and opportunities, teams can:
- Build richer data relationships beyond contact-based associations
- Get better context across opportunities, companies, and custom workflows
- Improve reporting and segmentation with more complete record connections
How to use it
- Go to Object > Companies > Associations.
- Click Create association to build associations between multiple objects.
- Open any custom object or opportunity record.
- Go to the Associations section.

- Manage or update associations from the same panel at any time.
This feature is currently available in Labs inside your account.
Coupons Now Support Product Price and Variant Targeting
Released March 19, 2026
Coupons can now be configured with more precision inside Payments & Commerce. Instead of applying a coupon only at the full product level, you can now target specific prices or variants within a product.
This makes it easier to run targeted promotions without duplicating products or removing variants just to control which discount applies.
What changed
When creating or editing a coupon, you can now choose whether the coupon applies to:
- An entire product
- Specific prices within a product
- Specific variants within a product
When you select a full product, all current and future prices or variants under that product are included automatically.
This updated logic applies to:
- Newly created coupons
- Existing coupons that are edited
- Future orders using the updated configuration
Checkout behavior
Supported checkout experiences now follow the updated coupon rules, including:
- Funnels
- Forms
- Ecommerce stores
- Payment links
- Calendars
A coupon will only apply when the selected price or variant matches the coupon configuration.
Existing subscriptions, recurring payments, and past transactions continue using the previous coupon logic for backward compatibility.
Workflow trigger updates
Coupon-based workflow triggers now support the same level of targeting.
For triggers such as Coupon Code Applied and Coupon Code Redeemed, you can now filter by product and then narrow the trigger to a specific price or variant under that product.
This supports more specific automation, such as:
- Triggering actions only when a coupon is used with a certain variant
- Targeting automation based on a pricing tier discount
Where to find it
You can access these settings in:
- Payments → Coupons → Create or Edit Coupon
- Automation → Workflows → Coupon triggers
In workflows, the price or variant filters appear only after a product is selected.
What to expect
Existing coupons continue to work as they do today unless they are updated. The new targeting logic applies to new coupon setups, edited coupons, and future orders.
Enhanced Meta Pixel Tracking for Websites and Funnels
Released March 19, 2026
SMBcrm has improved Meta Pixel tracking across supported website, funnel, and checkout experiences. Standard Meta events now work through both the browser pixel and Meta Conversions API to improve attribution and reduce duplicate tracking.
What changed
This update improves tracking for key customer actions, including:
- PageView when someone lands on a page
- ViewContent when someone views a product, offer, or supported content page
- InitiateCheckout when someone starts checkout
- AddPaymentInfo when someone enters payment details
- Purchase when someone completes a purchase
Tracking now works through both browser-based and server-side event delivery for more reliable reporting.
How tracking behavior has been improved
- PageView events are captured on every page load.
- ViewContent events are captured only on store product listing pages, product detail pages, or offer pages.
- Duplicate events are better controlled in single-page funnel experiences, so scroll-to-section and anchor link clicks do not trigger extra PageView or ViewContent events.
- Checkout start is tracked in 1-step and 2-step order forms, as well as cart checkout buttons.
- Payment detail entry is tracked on make payment actions.
- Purchase events sent from order confirmation, upsell, or thank you elements now include more complete order data, including value, currency, product or funnel content IDs, and hashed user data.
- Purchase tracking now uses actual order IDs, or joined order IDs when multiple exist, instead of random event IDs for more exact attribution.
For more on SMBcrm’s Websites & Funnels, visit the feature page.
Why it matters
These improvements give you more reliable Meta tracking across more of the customer journey. Browser and server events now work together more effectively, which helps reduce duplicate reporting and improves conversion data for campaign optimization.
Important
For the best results, add events from the Events tab only. Using both the Events tab and custom scripts in settings at the same time can lead to inconsistent tracking.
Invoices Now Enable Auto-Payment by Default
Released March 19, 2026
Invoices with payment schedules and recurring invoices now have auto-payment enabled by default when sent from the dashboard. This removes the need to manually switch it on each time.
What Changed
When you create an invoice with a payment schedule or recurring setup, auto-payment is now turned on automatically in the send modal.
You can still disable it before sending the invoice if needed.
For businesses using Payments & Commerce, this helps streamline invoice collection and reduce missed payment setups.
How It Works
- Create an invoice with a payment schedule or recurring setup as usual.
- In the send modal, auto-payment will already be enabled.
- Turn it off before sending if you do not want to use auto-payment for that invoice.
Why It Matters
Previously, users had to enable auto-payment manually each time. That extra step could lead to missed collections or inconsistent invoice setup.
With this change, recurring and scheduled invoices are set up for collection by default, which reduces manual work and supports more reliable payment collection.
More Image Layout Controls in Forms and Surveys
Released March 19, 2026
SMBcrm now includes more image layout controls in forms and surveys. These changes give you more control over how images appear, including layout options, spacing, focal points, and slide-level customization in surveys.
For teams using Lead Capture, this makes it easier to build cleaner, more polished forms and surveys without changing the overall experience.
What changed
New image layout options
Forms and surveys now support four additional image layouts:
- Left Center
- Right Center
- Left Fixed
- Right Fixed
These layouts provide more flexibility for placing images alongside form fields and survey content.
More styling control for centered layouts
For Left Center and Right Center layouts, you can now adjust:
- Image corner radius
- Image-field spacing
These settings help fine-tune visual styling and spacing around the image.
Focal point selection for fixed layouts
For Left Fixed and Right Fixed layouts, you can now set a focal point on the image. This lets you choose which part of the image stays in focus, which is especially useful when images need to adapt to different aspect ratios.
Survey slide-level image layout overrides
Surveys now support slide-level image layout customization. By default, survey slides continue using the main survey image layout, but you can now override that on an individual slide.
This includes the ability to apply a different image or a different image layout to a specific survey slide.
This setting is currently available for surveys only.
Important notes
- Image corner radius and image-field spacing apply only to Left Center and Right Center layouts.
- These settings are not available for the Top layout.
- Left Fixed and Right Fixed layouts do not use image corner radius and continue using the existing form radius setting.
Why it matters
These updates give you more control over how forms and surveys look without changing the structure of your content.
Key benefits include:
- Better control over image placement and spacing
- Improved image visibility in fixed layouts
- More flexibility when customizing individual survey slides
- Cleaner, more polished form and survey design

Released March 20, 2026
SMBcrm now makes blog setup more flexible and reduces manual maintenance. You can create a blog without connecting a domain first, manage blog domains directly in settings, use custom values in SEO fields, and rely on automatic sitemap updates when posts change.
What changed
Create a blog without connecting a domain
You can now create a blog site before attaching a domain. This makes it easier to start building content first and connect the domain later when you are ready.
Manage domains from Blog Settings
Blog Settings now include a Remove Domain option. This allows you to:
- disconnect an existing domain
- switch domains without support help
- manage domain settings directly in the interface
Use custom values in SEO fields
Blogs now support dynamic custom values in these SEO fields:
- favicon
- canonical URL
This helps you manage SEO settings more flexibly across blog pages.

- SEO fields are more flexible
- Sitemaps stay current automatically
- Ongoing blog maintenance requires less manual effort
How to use it
- Go to Sites → Blogs.
- Create a blog with or without a domain.
- Open Blog Settings to manage or remove the domain.
- Add custom values in supported SEO fields.
- Continue publishing as usual while sitemap updates happen automatically.
Improved A2P Campaign Rejection Feedback
Released March 23, 2026
A2P campaign rejections now provide clearer feedback so users can understand what failed and what needs to be corrected before resubmitting.
What changed
When a campaign submission is rejected, users now see a View required fixes link next to each rejection reason.
Selecting that link opens a detailed modal with four fields:
- Error code: the specific code returned by the carriers
- Rejection category: a plain-language label for the issue, such as an invalid website URL
- What it means: a short explanation of why the submission failed
- Correction needed: the exact action required before resubmitting
Why it matters
Previously, rejection messages showed only short descriptions with limited context. This update gives users more precise feedback so they can resolve issues faster, reduce back-and-forth with support, and resubmit with more confidence.
Opportunities Moved to a Dedicated Tab on the Contact Page
Released March 23, 2026
SMBcrm has updated the contact page so opportunities are easier to access and easier to spot during daily CRM work.
What Changed
Opportunities now appear as a dedicated tab in the right panel of a contact record, below Associations. This is a layout update designed to improve visibility and make opportunity access more intuitive.
This change does not affect opportunity data or functionality. It only changes where opportunities are shown on the contact page.
You can learn more about SMBcrm’s CRM and sales tools if you want a broader look at how opportunities fit into your workflow.
How It Works
When you open a contact record, you will now see an Opportunities tab in the right-hand panel.
- The tab appears below Associations
- It shows all opportunities linked to that contact
- Opportunities are still available in the Actions menu during the transition period
Transition Period
Until Apr 08, 2026, opportunities will be available in two places:
- the right panel on the contact page
- the Actions menu
After that, opportunities will be removed from the Actions menu and will live only in the right panel.
What’s Next
SMBcrm is also working on contact page customization. According to the release, admins will be able to reposition the Opportunities tab and customize the contact layout based on their preferences.
Reputation Review Requests Now Include Search and Filters
Released March 23, 2026
The Review Request page now includes search and filtering tools to help users find requests faster. This update improves day-to-day management for teams using Reputation & Growth.
What Changed
Users can now search review requests from the top of the page using:
- Contact name
- Phone number
The page also now supports filters for:
- Channel, including WhatsApp, Email, and Phone
- Status, including Failed, Undelivered, Sent, Opened, and other supported states
Additional behavior improvements include:
- Case-insensitive search for easier matching
- Dynamic result updates without a page reload
- Pagination that stays in sync with filtered and searched results
Why It Matters
Previously, users had to manually move through multiple pages to find a specific review request. That process could be slow and error-prone, especially in high-volume accounts.
With search and filters, users can locate the right request more quickly and take follow-up actions with better accuracy.
Set a Default Path for Workflow Branches
Released March 23, 2026
You can now choose a default path in workflows that use multiple parallel branches. This helps you control which branch a contact enters during workflow tests and when a contact is sent in from another workflow.
In Automation workflows with parallel branches, the root node is now labeled Default Path. You can set the default by clicking the branch icon on the first action in the branch you want to use.
How It Works
Once a branch is set as the default path:
- workflow tests follow that branch
- contacts entering from another workflow follow that branch
- the selected branch shows a solid trigger connector
- branches reached through a Go To connector show a dashed trigger connector and are not the default path
How to Use It
- Open a workflow with multiple parallel branches.
- Click the branch icon on the first action in the branch you want to use.
- Set that branch as the default path.
- Run your workflow test or send contacts into the workflow from another workflow.
Why It Matters
Previously, testing and configuring parallel branches was more restrictive when only one root path handled tests and cross-workflow entries. This update gives you more control over branch-level testing and makes it easier to validate each path without reorganizing your workflow.
Example
If your workflow includes multiple reminder branches, you can set one branch as the default path so a test contact enters that specific branch first.
Website Field Added to the Contact Changed Trigger
Released March 23, 2026
The Website contact field is now available in the Contact Changed trigger.
This update makes it possible to start automations when a contact’s website value is updated, without relying on workarounds outside the trigger.
What Changed
You can now use the Website field in the Contact Changed trigger with these operators:
- has changed
- has changed to
This applies only to the Contact Changed trigger.
For teams using SMBcrm for CRM and websites, this helps keep contact-driven workflow logic more complete when website information changes.
What It Means for Users
If your workflows depend on changes to a contact’s website field, you can now trigger those automations directly from the Contact Changed trigger.
The team is also working on broader support for other missing fields and operators.

Let Customers Enter the Service Address During Booking
Released March 24, 2026
SMBcrm now supports a booking option that lets customers enter the service address when scheduling an appointment. This is useful for businesses that provide on-site or mobile services and need the exact address for each appointment.
What Changed
Businesses can now create a service location setting that asks the customer to enter the service address during booking.
With this option enabled:
- Customers are prompted to enter the service address during booking
- The address is saved with the appointment
- Appointment details and notifications can use the saved address
- Availability, services, and pricing still follow the configured location settings
How to Set It Up
- Go to Calendar Settings → Services (v2) → Locations
- Create a new location or edit an existing one
- Enable Let bookers enter their own service address
- Configure the location name and other details
- Assign the location in Staff Availability if needed
- During booking, customers will be asked to enter the service address

- Mobile service providers
- Repair businesses
- Consultants

It keeps the booking flow simple while making sure each appointment includes the correct service address.
Math Operation Outputs Can Now Be Reused in Workflows
Released March 24, 2026
Math Operation results can now be used in later workflow steps as output variables. This reduces the need to write values to a field just to reference them again.
What changed
When a Math Operation runs, its result is now stored as that action’s output variable. In later workflow steps, you can select that output from the custom value picker and use it in other actions, including another Math Operation.
This makes it easier to build multi-step calculations inside Automation without creating an extra custom field just to pass a value forward.
How it works
- Add a Math Operation step and configure the calculation.
- Leave Update field empty if you only want to use the result as an output variable.
- Select a field if you want the same result written to the record as well.
- In a later action, choose the Math Operation output from the custom value picker.
- You can also reference the output of one Math Operation inside another Math Operation.
Why it matters
Previously, users often had to save a Math Operation result into a custom field or custom value before using it again later in a workflow. This update removes that extra step and gives you a more consistent way to reuse calculation results across following actions.
Example
A fitness workflow can calculate a member’s total completed sessions from a form value, then use that output in a later step to decide which follow-up message to send.
Notes
- Math Operation output can be reused in subsequent workflow actions.
- One Math Operation can reference the output of a previous Math Operation.
- If the selected field type for a referenced Math Operation changes, any dependent Math Operation will be skipped until its configuration is reviewed and updated.
- For older legacy Math Operation actions, the output of the last executed legacy Math Operation may appear until that action is opened and saved again.
Media Storage Is Now Available in Workflow Attachments
Released March 24, 2026
You can now attach files from Media Storage directly in supported workflow actions. This reduces repeat uploads and makes it easier to reuse approved assets across your automation workflows.
What Changed
When you click Add Attachment in a supported workflow action, you now get two options:
- Upload a file
- Choose from Media Storage
After you select a file, SMBcrm checks the file type and size using the same validation rules already used for that action. If the file passes validation, it is attached to the workflow step.
If you copy the action, the attached media carries over as well.
Supported Use
This is available in supported workflow actions that allow media attachments, including SMS/MMS, voicemail, chat, and other supported steps.
At launch, Email actions are not supported.
Why It Matters
Before this update, users often had to manage files outside the platform, upload the same asset repeatedly, or paste media URLs into each workflow action by hand.
With Media Storage available inside workflow attachments, you can reuse existing files more quickly and keep your workflow setup more consistent.
What to Expect
- File type and size validation still applies based on the action
- Validation behavior remains unchanged
- Unsupported file types or oversized files show an inline error and cannot be inserted
- Copied workflow actions retain their attached media
- Existing workflows with previously uploaded media continue to work as expected

Custom Fields UI Revamp
Released March 25, 2026
SMBcrm has updated the custom fields experience to make it cleaner, easier to navigate, and more efficient to use. This is a user interface update only, so existing functionality stays the same.
The changes are focused on improving day-to-day field management across different CRM objects, with better visibility and less friction when configuring fields.
What Changed
- A cleaner interface makes custom fields easier to scan and manage.
- An object selector lets you switch between views such as Contacts and Opportunities.
- A live preview shows how a custom field will appear on the contact page.
- New visual indicators help identify unique and searchable fields.
- Column sorting is now available across custom field columns for faster organization.
Why It Matters
These changes are designed to reduce errors and help teams work more efficiently when managing CRM data at scale. With clearer navigation and better visibility into field setup, users can review and configure custom fields with more confidence.
Preview and Visibility Improvements
The live preview makes it easier to understand how a field will appear before saving changes. The new icons also make important field properties easier to spot at a glance.
What’s Next
SMBcrm has also shared a few planned improvements for custom fields:
- Bulk deletion of custom fields
- Additional field types, including URL, date and time picker, attach users, rich text editor, and image support for radio buttons and checkboxes
These items were mentioned as upcoming improvements, but no release timing was provided.
Google Business Profile Connection Enhancements
Released March 25, 2026
SMBcrm has improved the Google Business Profile connection flow to make page discovery and setup clearer. The update adds better guidance when no pages are available and expands how users can search for business pages.
What changed
Clearer handling when no page is found
When no Google Business Profile pages are linked to the connected Google account, users now see a more informative empty state message. This helps explain why no pages appear and what to check next.
More ways to search for pages
Users can now search and filter Google Business Profile pages by:
- Page Name
- Store Code
- Postal Code
- Locality
This makes it easier to find the correct page in accounts that manage many business locations.
How to use it
- Open the Google Business Profile integration in SMBcrm.
- Use the search dropdown to choose a search field.
- Enter a value to filter available pages.
- If no pages appear, follow the guidance shown to connect the correct Google account.
Why it matters
Previously, page search was limited to Page Name. For businesses with similar or repeated naming across locations, that made it harder to identify the correct page. The updated search options and clearer empty states reduce setup friction and improve usability.
Workflow AI Builder Enabled by Default for Agencies
Released March 25, 2026
Workflow AI Builder is now enabled by default. This update improves speed, accuracy, and reliability, while adding several capabilities that make it easier to build and refine automations with AI features and automation tools.
What Changed
Faster workflow generation
- Average workflow creation time has dropped from about 50 to 60 seconds to under 30 seconds.
- Simpler prompts can finish in as little as 15 seconds.
- Template-style generation that previously took up to 90 seconds can now complete in about 6 to 7 seconds.
- Generation errors have been reduced, including fixes for condition generation and node generation failures.
- Action and trigger selection is more accurate based on the prompt and use case.
New workflow-building capabilities
- Post-generation to do list: After a workflow is created, AI Builder now shows a list of items that still need user input, such as credentials or custom values. Selecting an item takes you to the relevant action.
- Workflow settings and naming from prompts: AI Builder can now configure workflow settings and rename the workflow based on the prompt.
- Conversational editing for If/Else and Wait actions: Instead of making these edits manually after generation, users can now refine them through a multi-turn AI conversation.
- Voice dictation: Users can describe a workflow with voice input to speed up creation and improve accessibility.
- Smarter Wait step generation: Wait steps now include more guardrails and support for specific dates, branching logic, and advanced time window configuration from a single prompt.
- Autosave support: If autosave is enabled, AI-generated workflows are saved automatically after generation or editing.
- Integration app support: AI Builder now supports integration apps such as Asana and ClickUp and can select the appropriate action from a prompt.
- Data linking across actions: Outputs from one action can now be referenced in another action built through AI, including examples like using a GPT output inside an email body.
Opt-Out Options
If you do not want AI Builder enabled by default:
- Go to Automations > Global Workflow Settings and turn off AI Builder for that account.

Redesigned Messaging Analytics in Phone Settings
Released March 26, 2026
Messaging Analytics in Phone Settings has been redesigned to give you clearer visibility into SMS performance, trends, and message-level details.
The updated experience is available now through Labs. To try it, enable the Messaging Analytics V2 flag in Labs. If the flag is off, the previous analytics view remains available.
What Changed
The Messaging Analytics tab now includes:
- Period-over-period comparisons for each metric so you can see changes versus the previous time range
- A failure rate trend chart with a 10% threshold line to help identify delivery issues early
- A failure reason breakdown that shows why messages failed, including issues like carrier filtering, invalid numbers, opted-out recipients, and unverified toll-free numbers
- An opt-out rate trend chart with a 2% threshold marker
- Clickable summary cards for Sent, Delivered, Failed, Received, and Opt-Out Rate that open detailed message logs
- A longer default reporting window of 30 days instead of 7 days, with date selection for up to 90 days
Why It Matters
The redesigned view adds context that was missing from the previous analytics experience. Instead of only showing counts, it helps you understand trends, spot changes over time, and review the reasons behind failed messages.
This can help you:
- Identify delivery issues before they lead to account restrictions
- Understand failure causes and error codes more quickly
- Monitor opt-out trends to protect sender reputation
- Make better decisions about messaging performance across campaigns, workflows, and bulk sends
Who It Helps
This update is especially useful for account owners and admins who need a clearer view of messaging health without reviewing messages one by one. It can also help teams overseeing multiple accounts monitor performance with more context.
Services Calendar booking in Conversation AI
Released March 26, 2026
Customers can now book appointments from your Services Calendar through chat in Conversation AI across supported channels, including SMS, Live Chat, Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp.
Instead of filling out a form, customers can describe what they need in natural language and the AI can guide the booking based on your existing setup. This update expands how teams can use AI features alongside communication tools.
What this supports
Conversation AI can now work with Services Calendar configurations that include:
- Multiple services
- Account and staff selection
- Add-ons and variations
The AI can understand intent across multiple messages, match the request to the right service configuration, and create a booking.
You can also control:
- Which services the AI manages
- Custom booking instructions for the agent
How to use it
- Create services in Calendar Settings.
- Enable the feature from Labs.
- Enable appointment booking in prompt-based bots.
- Choose which services the AI should handle.
- Start a conversation on any supported channel.
Only public-facing services are supported. Private services are not supported.
Booking actions available
This update supports the full booking lifecycle for services, including:
- Book appointments
- Reschedule appointments
- Cancel appointments
- Send a booking link instead
- Pause the bot after booking
- Trigger workflows
- Transfer conversations
How configuration works
Conversation AI follows the configuration already set in your Services Calendar.
If you update services, availability, staff, or related settings, those changes must be made in the Services Calendar configuration to be reflected in AI bookings.
Payment behavior
Payment handling depends on the booking setup:
- Pay in person: the appointment is booked and confirmed directly
- Online payment: the appointment is created but remains unconfirmed
Conversation AI does not currently collect payments during the booking flow.
Notable behavior
The booking experience includes:
- Memory across the conversation when a customer changes direction
- Clarifying questions when requests are ambiguous
- A booking preview before confirmation
A future update for Services V2 support in Flow Builder bots is planned, but no release timing was provided.

Preference Management Refinements
Released March 31, 2026
SMBcrm updated Preference Management to make setup and editing clearer and safer. These changes help users configure categories with less guesswork and fewer accidental updates.
Users managing email preferences in Communication will notice several usability improvements.
What changed
Cleaner default setup
New configurations no longer include a pre-set “One-on-One” subscription type. You now start with a blank setup so you can define categories that fit your business.

Longer category names
The character limit for subscription category names has increased to 100 characters, giving you more room to use descriptive labels.
Safer save actions
Preference settings now require explicit confirmation before saving changes, which helps prevent accidental updates.
Better empty states
If all preference categories are archived, the screen now shows a clearer zero-state with guidance on what to do next instead of appearing blank or unclear.

- Sole Proprietor accounts are now automatically identified in the chat widget A2P registration flow.
- When a Sole Proprietor account is detected, the campaign use case is pre-selected.
- Users still choose their message type: Marketing or Promotional, or Transactional or Non-Marketing.
- The consent screen is pre-filled based on that message type selection.
Why It Matters
Previously, Sole Proprietor accounts could not use the simplified chat widget flow and had to complete registration through a separate self-serve process.
With this change, Sole Proprietors can use the same faster registration experience available in the chat widget, which can reduce setup time and help support a cleaner compliance process. For more on SMBcrm Communication, visit the feature page.
