Carrier Fee Updates for U.S. Messaging
Carrier fees for messaging traffic sent to U.S. numbers through Verizon and select providers in the “Other” category will change effective October 1, 2026.
These updates reflect downstream carrier cost changes for delivery and infrastructure across telecom networks. No action is required. Updated rates will apply automatically from the effective date.
Verizon carrier fee updates
For outbound messaging through the Verizon network, the following carrier fees will change:
- Outbound SMS, including Long Code, Short Code, Toll-Free, Authy, and Verify: $0.0045 to $0.0050 per message
- Outbound RCS Rich: $0.0045 to $0.0050 per message
Other carrier fee updates
For outbound messaging through select providers in the “Other” category, the following carrier fees will change:
- Outbound SMS, including Long Code, Short Code Group B, Toll-Free, Authy, and Verify: $0.0040 to $0.0042 per message
- Short Code Group A SMS: $0.0025 per message, with no change

The updates are tied to downstream carrier pricing changes. Keeping carrier fees aligned with those costs helps support reliable message delivery and continued messaging performance across supported telecom networks.
