Clearer Rental Invoice Line Items
Rental invoice line items now show the true per-unit cost and the actual quantity booked. This makes invoices easier to read, verify, and explain to customers.
For teams using SMBcrm Payments & Commerce, the update makes rental charges more transparent without changing the configured rental price.
What changed
Invoice line items for rentals now display pricing in a more accurate format:
- The unit price reflects the per-unit rental cost.
- The quantity reflects the actual number of units booked.
- The total still reflects the full rental charge.
For example, a rental booked for 3 days across 4 units at $50 per day previously appeared as a single line item with a unit price of $540.00 and a quantity of 1.
With this update, the invoice shows a unit price of $135.00, a quantity of 4, and a total of $540.00.

More precise pricing calculations
Rental pricing is now calculated per unit before the final invoice total is calculated. This supports more consistent pricing across booking setups, including rentals with multiple units or discount configurations.
In rare cases involving non-round discount percentages, such as 16.67%, per-unit rounding may cause the final total to vary by $0.01. This helps the invoice total foot cleanly while reflecting the configured price as accurately as possible.
Why it matters
Customers can now see a meaningful unit price and quantity instead of a single lump-sum line item. This makes rental invoices clearer, especially when bookings include multiple units, multiple days, or discounts.
