Conditional Opportunity Fields for Cleaner CRM Data
Opportunity forms in SMBcrm CRM and sales can now adapt based on each deal, so teams see and complete the fields that matter for the current pipeline, stage, status, or selected field values.

What changed
Admins can create conditional rules for opportunity fields and folders using single conditions or AND/OR logic. Rules can use these triggers:
- Pipeline
- Pipeline stage
- Status
- Dropdown fields
- Radio fields
- Checkbox fields
- Multi-select fields
When conditions are met, SMBcrm can show an individual field, show a full folder, or make a visible field required. Mandatory visible fields prevent incomplete opportunities from being saved.

Admins can preview each rule before saving, apply rules across Add, Edit, and Bulk Edit flows on web and mobile, and manage pipeline-specific rules from the Pipelines page. Rules can be activated after saving.
How to get started
- Go to Settings → Labs.
- Enable Show & Require Opportunity Fields Conditionally for the account.
- Navigate to Settings → Custom Fields → Opportunity → Conditional Rules.
- Select Create conditional rule.
- Choose trigger conditions and connect them with AND/OR logic.
- Select an outcome: Show field, Show folder, or Make mandatory.
- Review the live preview and save the rule.

You can also go to Settings → Opportunities & Pipelines, open a pipeline or stage Actions menu, and select Manage conditional rules.
Why it matters
Conditional opportunity fields help teams keep forms focused on relevant information, collect required details at the right stage, and standardize data collection across pipelines and teams. They can also improve reporting consistency by reducing missing or irrelevant deal data.
Good to know
- Fields and folders included in a Show rule stay hidden until the rule conditions are met.
- Fields not included in a Show rule remain visible as usual.
- If multiple rules apply, their mandatory field requirements are combined.
- Only Admins can create, edit, or delete rules.
- Rules are configured separately for each account.
- Nothing changes until an Admin creates the first rule.
- Validation applies to saves on web and mobile, but not to Public API or workflow-based updates.
