DND Exemptions for Critical Email Notifications

SMBcrm has updated email delivery logic for contacts marked as Do Not Disturb, or DND. Three critical email types are no longer skipped when DND is enabled:

  1. Payment emails for invoices
  2. Calendar notifications
  3. System notifications

Why this changed

Previously, enabling DND for a contact could also prevent transactional or time-sensitive emails from being delivered. That meant important messages such as invoices, calendar updates, and system alerts could be missed.

These emails are operational in nature, not marketing or promotional, so they are now exempt from DND rules. This helps keep essential communication and account activity moving without changing how marketing consent is handled in the CRM.

What still respects DND

This update only applies to the three email types listed above. Marketing and promotional emails continue to follow DND settings as before.
