Generate AI Videos Directly in Workflows

The AI Video Generation action is available under AI Actions in SMBcrm workflows. It uses Google’s Veo 3.1 to create a short video from a prompt, save it to the Media Library, and return a public URL for later workflow actions.

Use that URL in an email or SMS, save it to a custom field, or pass it to a webhook. Prompts can use contact data, allowing the same workflow to generate different videos for different contacts.

Generation options

This addition to SMBcrm’s AI features includes:

Models: Choose Veo 3.1 Quality for more polished output or Veo 3.1 Fast for quicker generation.
Resolution: Select Standard (720p) or High (1080p).
Prompts: Enter text directly or insert a custom value from a contact field, webhook payload, or earlier action. Enhance Prompt can expand a short prompt into a more detailed one.
Starting templates: Choose Product Mockups, Social Post, Promo Flyer, or Lifestyle. Each includes a sample video to preview before using its prompt.
Reference images: Add up to three JPEG or PNG images from your computer, the Media Library, or a URL to guide the subject and style.
Format and duration: Choose landscape or portrait and a duration of 4, 6, or 8 seconds.
Audio: Turn on Generate Audio to add AI-generated sound, including ambience or background music. Audio is off by default.

Adding a reference image automatically changes the duration to 8 seconds, which is required when using reference images.

How to add the action

Go to Automation > Workflows and open a workflow.
Add AI Video Generation from AI Actions.
Select a model and resolution. The defaults are Veo 3.1 Quality and Standard (720p).
Enter a prompt or insert a custom value to supply it from workflow data at run time.
Optionally use Enhance Prompt, choose a template, or add reference images.
Open Additional Settings to adjust orientation, duration, and audio as needed.
Save the action.

Cost and public access

AI Video Generation is a premium action with an additional charge for each execution. Cost depends on the model, resolution, duration, and audio settings. Generate Audio increases the per-second cost. Treat any cost estimates as planning guidance rather than fixed rates.

Generated videos are stored at public URLs. Anyone with the link can open a video without logging in. Consider this before using customer data in a prompt.
