Improved Google and LinkedIn Ad Campaign Validation

SMBcrm has improved validation and error handling for Google and LinkedIn campaigns in Ad Manager. The update helps users find more publishing issues at once, understand where each issue appears, and fix campaign setup before trying again.

For teams managing ads as part of lead capture, this can reduce repeated fix-and-retry cycles when preparing campaigns.

What changed

  • Multiple validation issues can now appear together instead of one at a time.
  • Error messages give clearer context about what needs to be fixed and where.
  • Selecting an error takes users directly to the relevant section or field.
  • Error highlighting has been improved for campaigns with multiple ads or creatives.
  • Resolved validation errors refresh correctly when campaigns are updated or republished.
  • Publishing status and background processing messages provide clearer feedback during campaign creation.

Google campaign validation

Google campaigns now include an expanded pre-publish validation flow covering campaign fields, advertising requirements, and Google platform requirements.

Validation has also been improved for Demand Gen campaigns, including checks for required images, logos, videos, headlines, descriptions, long headlines, and carousel assets. Messaging is clearer for missing website URLs and duplicate creative content.

LinkedIn campaign validation

LinkedIn campaign validation now provides clearer guidance across carousel cards, including required headlines and URLs. Errors also identify the specific carousel card that needs attention.

How it works

  1. Configure the campaign, ad groups or ad sets, and ads as usual.
  2. Select Publish.
  3. Ad Manager checks supported campaign and creative requirements before publishing.
  4. If issues are found, review the Fix errors before publishing prompt.
  5. Open the error list to see identified issues together.
  6. Select an error to go directly to the affected field or section.
  7. Fix the issues and publish the campaign again.

Notes

  • Google campaigns use the expanded pre-publish validation flow.
  • LinkedIn continues to use its existing publishing flow, with improvements focused on UI validation and error handling.
  • Additional platform-level errors or policy rejections may still be returned by Google or LinkedIn after submission.
