SMS Notifications Now Available for Rentals
SMBcrm rental bookings now support SMS notifications for key booking events. This gives teams more flexibility in how they handle customer communication for confirmations, reminders, cancellations, reschedules, and follow-ups.
What Changed
- SMS support for rental booking events: Send SMS notifications for unconfirmed bookings, booked appointments, cancellations, reschedules, reminders, and follow-ups.
- Recipient controls: Choose whether each SMS goes to the contact, the business, or both.
- Per-recipient templates: Use different SMS templates for contacts and the business.
- Template management: Start with the default SMS template, customize it, select an existing template, or create a new one.
- Test messages: Send a test SMS before enabling the notification for real bookings.


How to Set It Up
- Go to Calendar Settings > Rentals > Global settings > Notifications.
- Edit a notification type, open the SMS tab, and enable the SMS toggle.
- Choose the recipients: Contact, Business, or both.
- Select the SMS template to use.
- Send a test SMS to verify the message.
- Save the settings. SMS messages will be sent when that notification is triggered.

SMS notifications can help rental businesses communicate faster, reduce manual follow-up, and keep both contacts and internal teams informed about booking changes.
