Button Hover Animations for Websites and Funnels
SMBcrm now supports button hover animations in the page builder, making it easier to add small interactive effects to calls to action without writing CSS.
Where to Find It
In the Websites & Funnels builder, select a button on the canvas, then open the Animation tab in the sidebar. Choose Hover Animation to browse the available effects.
Available Hover Effects
You can choose from 20 button hover effects:
- Grow
- Shrink
- Pulse
- Bounce In
- Rotate
- Float
- Skew Forward
- Wobble Horizontal
- Buzz
- Fade
- Sweep To Right
- Sweep To Bottom
- Radial In
- Bounce To Top
- Ripple Out
- Outline In
- Underline From Center
- Shadow
- Glow
- Box Shadow Outset
Preview and Adjust Before Publishing
Hover over an effect card to preview it directly on the selected button on the canvas. This makes it easier to compare options before applying one.
Each effect includes adjustable settings for:
- Duration from 0.1 to 3 seconds
- Delay from 0 to 5 seconds
- Easing options: Linear, Ease-in, Ease-out, and Ease-in-out
The adjustment panel only shows controls that apply to the selected effect. Depending on the effect, those controls may include scale, rotation angle, movement distance, fill color, border color and thickness, or shadow color, blur, and spread.
Each effect also includes default styling, so additional adjustment is optional.
Behavior on Different Devices
Hover effects are automatically disabled on touch devices and screens under 1024px, helping prevent mobile visitors from getting stuck in a hover state.
If a button already has an entrance animation, the hover effect waits until that entrance animation finishes before becoming active. Buttons that appear more than once on a page, such as sticky bars or navigation clones, animate consistently with the original button.
Why It Matters
This update gives users more control over button micro-interactions from the sidebar, without needing custom CSS. It also keeps the editing experience cleaner by showing only relevant controls for the selected effect.
As part of this work, entrance animations on the canvas were also improved. They no longer replay every time a component remounts during actions like drag and drop, device switching, or editing, and they wait until the element is on screen before playing.
