Appointment Status Changes No Longer Send External Update Emails

SMBcrm has adjusted how appointment status changes work for Showed and No Show.

Previously, changing an appointment to one of these statuses could push an update to connected external calendars such as Google, Outlook, or iCloud. That could trigger event update emails to attendees even when nothing meaningful had changed for them.

What’s Changed

When an appointment is marked as Showed or No Show, SMBcrm no longer sends that status change to connected external calendars.

This means attendees will no longer receive unnecessary external event update emails for those status changes.

What Stays the Same

Internal tracking still works as expected.

Status changes for Showed and No Show continue to be available inside SMBcrm for reporting and automation.

Why It Matters

  • Reduces unnecessary appointment update emails
  • Helps avoid confusion for customers and attendees
  • Keeps external calendar activity limited to meaningful changes
  • Preserves internal operational tracking without making it customer-facing
