Assign to User Now Skips Inactive Users in Workflows
SMBcrm workflows now revalidate user status when the Assign to User action runs with Split Traffic enabled. If a user is inactive or deleted, that user is skipped during assignment.
This helps prevent contacts from being assigned to users who can no longer receive follow-up tasks.
What changed
In Automation workflows, the Assign to User action now checks each configured user’s status at execution time.
If a user in the Split Traffic list is no longer active, that user is excluded from assignment when the step runs.
How assignment works now
- Inactive or deleted users are skipped during assignment.
- The existing split distribution order does not reset.
- Traffic continues to distribute as if the deleted user was never in the list.
- If only one user was configured and that user is deleted, the step is skipped.
Why it matters
This update reduces the chance of contacts being assigned to unavailable users, which can help teams avoid missed follow-ups and keep workflow routing more reliable.
