Overview
Appointment visibility has been improved for followers to support better team collaboration.
Previously, only the assigned user could view a contact’s appointments. Now, users who follow a contact can also view that contact’s appointments, as long as Assigned Data visibility and the proper calendar permissions are enabled.
What’s New
- Followers can now view appointments for contacts they follow.
- Appointment visibility is now aligned between assigned users and followers.
- Users limited to assigned records can also see appointments for contacts they follow.
Permission Behavior
- Followers need View appointments, calendars & groups permission to see appointments.
- Without Manage appointments, followers can view appointments but cannot edit or delete them.
- With Manage appointments, followers can manage appointments based on their permission level.
Why It Matters
- Improves collaboration across teams working the same contacts.
- Reduces confusion around missing appointment visibility.
- Better matches real-world team workflows.
- Gives restricted-access users more context when following a contact.
