SMBcrm has improved Meta Pixel tracking across supported website, funnel, and checkout experiences. Standard Meta events now work through both the browser pixel and Conversions API for more reliable attribution and cleaner conversion reporting.

Enhanced Meta Pixel Tracking for Websites and Funnels

SMBcrm has improved Meta Pixel tracking across supported website, funnel, and checkout experiences. Standard Meta events now work through both the browser pixel and Meta Conversions API to improve attribution and reduce duplicate tracking.

What changed

This update improves tracking for key customer actions, including:

  • PageView when someone lands on a page
  • ViewContent when someone views a product, offer, or supported content page
  • InitiateCheckout when someone starts checkout
  • AddPaymentInfo when someone enters payment details
  • Purchase when someone completes a purchase

Tracking now works through both browser-based and server-side event delivery for more reliable reporting.

How tracking behavior has been improved

  • PageView events are captured on every page load.
  • ViewContent events are captured only on store product listing pages, product detail pages, or offer pages.
  • Duplicate events are better controlled in single-page funnel experiences, so scroll-to-section and anchor link clicks do not trigger extra PageView or ViewContent events.
  • Checkout start is tracked in 1-step and 2-step order forms, as well as cart checkout buttons.
  • Payment detail entry is tracked on make payment actions.
  • Purchase events sent from order confirmation, upsell, or thank you elements now include more complete order data, including value, currency, product or funnel content IDs, and hashed user data.
  • Purchase tracking now uses actual order IDs, or joined order IDs when multiple exist, instead of random event IDs for more exact attribution.

Why it matters

These improvements give you more reliable Meta tracking across more of the customer journey. Browser and server events now work together more effectively, which helps reduce duplicate reporting and improves conversion data for campaign optimization.

Important

For the best results, add events from the Events tab only. Using both the Events tab and custom scripts in settings at the same time can lead to inconsistent tracking.
