Enhanced Visual Debugging for Workflow Paths
The Highlight Contact Path feature in SMBcrm workflows now includes enhanced visual indicators that make it faster to understand exactly what happened during a contact’s journey through your automation. Instead of manually checking logs, you can see errors, skipped steps, and status at a glance directly in the workflow builder.
What’s New
Error Visibility in the Builder
Workflow steps that encountered errors are now visually highlighted. You can pinpoint failure points without guessing, making it straightforward to identify and resolve issues.
Skipped Node Indicators
Steps that a contact bypassed during execution are clearly marked. This helps you confirm whether your routing logic and conditional branches are functioning as intended.
Entry and Exit Status Indicators
Visual markers now display workflow entry and exit points, establishing clear execution boundaries. You can immediately see where a contact entered the workflow and where they exited.
In-Progress Contact Tracking
Contacts actively moving through a workflow are identifiable at a glance. This is especially helpful for diagnosing timing-related issues or confirming that contacts are progressing as expected.
Why This Matters
These visibility improvements reduce debugging time by revealing:
- Error locations within the workflow
- Steps that were skipped by conditional logic
- Clear workflow start and end points
- Contacts currently in progress
This means less time checking execution logs and fewer assumptions when reviewing workflow behavior.
How to Use It
- Open your workflow and navigate to Enrollment History or Execution History
- Click the Highlight Contact Path icon for any contact
- Review the enhanced path with error nodes, skipped steps, and status indicators displayed directly on the builder canvas
