Overview
SMBcrm has added a new Payments tab inside the rental booking view, along with usability improvements to the Create Booking and Edit Booking experience.
This gives your team a centralized place to manage booking-related payments while making booking updates easier to review and complete.
What’s New
Payments tab in rental bookings
You can now manage payment activity directly from the booking view, including:
- Total amount, amount paid, remaining balance, and payment breakdown
- Transaction history tied to the booking
- Related invoices
- Actions to collect remaining payments
- Security deposit management when enabled
Improved payment summary and invoice behavior
The payment summary in the create and edit booking flow now makes charges, deposits, totals, and balances easier to understand.
It also updates dynamically as booking details change, such as:
- Dates
- Quantity
- Added listings
When a booking is edited, the existing invoice is automatically updated to reflect the latest changes. This keeps a one booking, one invoice workflow for simpler reconciliation.
Note: A booking still cannot be edited in a way that reduces the total below the amount already paid.
Cleaner booking layout
Additional interface improvements include:
- A more scannable booking summary
- Easier access to internal notes for team collaboration
How to Use
- Open a rental booking
- Select the Payments tab
- Review balances, transactions, and invoices
- Collect payments or manage deposits as needed
- Use the edit option to update the booking
