Virtual Businesses Added to Reputation Competitor Analysis
SMBcrm has updated Reputation & Growth Competitor Analysis to support virtual and service-area businesses. This makes it easier to track competitors that do not operate from a physical storefront.
What Changed
Add virtual businesses manually
You can now add competitors using:
- Virtual addresses
- Service areas
- Website URLs

This is especially useful for:
- Online-only businesses
- Service-area businesses
- Franchise or multi-region brands operating remotely
Improved search experience
The competitor search flow has also been updated to make setup faster:
- Start typing a business name
- See suggestions in a dropdown list
- Select a result to auto-populate details

Expanded analysis coverage
Virtual competitors are now included in:
- Ratings comparison
- Reviews benchmarking
- Keyword share tracking
- Overall competitive insights
Why It Matters
Previously, competitor analysis depended on physical Google Maps listings. That made it harder to track online-only or remote competitors and could leave gaps in your market view.
With this update, you can compare physical and virtual businesses in one place and get a more complete picture of your niche.
Where to Find It
Go to Reputation → Competitor Analysis → Add a Virtual Business Manually.
